The material is pretty cheesy, smells like a pool liner. And it doesn't retract automatically. It's complete junk. Tearing it down was simple enough, but measuring wasn't easy. As the Blind and didn't reach to the end of either side of the tube. I want a refund.

They seem like decent quality for the price. The material is pretty thick, hopefully it'll be durable for a while. I was skeptical about the tear factor, but it did tear in a nice, clean straight line. The main issue I had was with the installation, due to the instructions not being clear. if you just use the UNIVERSAL BRACKETS that are included for an inside mount, DO NOT just follow the spacing for their other inside mount brackets you have to buy. 1/4" of space from the top of the window is definitely not enough to get your rod in there. I left more than that, but it still was not working at all. After a long while of trying and cutting down and re-trying, and the rod falling down and scraping the side of the window, I had to put more holes in my window to re-install the brackets on (and my husband already hates putting holes in our brand, new house). So the instructions definitely need to be fixed. 1/4" clearance above the universal brackets WILL NOT leave enough space to get your roll in!They also aren't super easy to get to roll up. Yes, I have adjusted the spring tension like it says in the instructions, but it is still finicky to get it to go up, even though the spring is strong and pulls it up well when it does catch. Good thing we won't need to do that all the time!

The shade came really quick, awesome. The shade came with the hardware, screws and brackets. The shade also came with directions. . I measured the length of shade, needed. I took the plastic piece out of the end of the shade. I cut the shade with the scissors, into the necessary length. I unraveled the excess plastic. I pulled off the cardboard. I pushed the plastic piece, back into the end of the shade. I hung up the shade. The shade does a great job of darkening the room. The shade appears to be thick and sturdy. The shade is so easy to assemble. Overall I like it.

I was lucky that I had existing brackets (inside the frame) so didn’t have to use the new brackets. I took off the old shade (it would not stay up or down anymore even after re-rolling) and I used it to measure and mark where to cut on the new shade. I was skeptical about tearing the shade after only a small scissors cut but it tore nice and neatly. The first time I didn’t understand how the cardboard worked so I scored it with a blade and then removed it. I had to smack the telescoping metal on the floor to get it to recede but it did. Tried it on the old brackets and it was too long. Cut a little more, pulled off the vinyl and then cardboard and tried again. Still just a little long. Carefully did a 3rd thin cut and removal and smacked the metal rod in as far as I could. It fits and is working fine. Added the bottom piece and it snapped off clean.

We needed some privacy in our kitchen, so we thought this would be a good pick, but we were sadly mistaken.After the frustration of installing, the thing already looked like it had been abused for years. It bowed in the middle (pictured) and could never be pulled down evenly. If we were able to keep it level, it would wrinkle on one side.Whenever we pulled the blind down, it would bounce on the mount. When we would release the blind, it would flop its way up and never go all the way to the top.Look elsewhere.

This is a terrible product. Firstly, the cardboard roller is too weak to support a 73” wide shade as it was sold to us. It flexes when it is pulled down. Secondly, the spring mechanism in one of the rollers was broken. It doesn’t catch to stop the shade from pulling down. Thirdly, the other spring winds too tightly then keeps rolling without stopping. Fourthly, it appears that it was fiddled with and then broken before shipping to us. It was too short to fit into the catch. Last, one of the shades did not have the hardware to make the shade work.

Had to add a review because all the negative ones made me a bit nervous... this is a lifesaver! These were installed in our apartment and my kids broke one, so I was searching all over for a replacement and this one was perfect and it was SUPER EASY to trim to size and install. The 55” one can be trimmed down to 37” I took 10 inches off to make it 45 inches no problem. Super happy with this!

The 1st one I received couldn't get the inside tube to right length. Also it would vibrate/bounce 1 inch when rolling/unrolling. The 2nd one set up/fitted OK, so I installed it. The next morning you could see the window frame outline thru the shade and a orange glow thru the shade when the sun came out. Not dark as stated?
