Polystyrene Petri Dish, Sterile 70 x 16mm, Pack of 10

I thought I'd take a chance and see if the lids really don't fit. The lids are larger so it is not useful for my needs. I TRIED to make it work with stupid Pusheen cat washi tape which left residue all over and it scratched up easily so at that point I didn't think it was fair to return.I bought electrical tape and plan to make the sides of the dish thicker so they'll fit...but haven't gotten around to doing that and the time it is going to take me will be more than the cost of buying new petri dishes.The dishes are also flimsy...as in you could potentially hold the plastic too hard and it would crack so you definitely would not want to put something harmful or dangerous inside.I got these petri dishes because the Pandemic board game uses some weirdo sized petri dishes for the game insert because my game group kept bugging me about the lack of petri dishes which are currently in my Legacy box. I highly DO NOT recommend this product for board games.MAYBE it could work for someone who is okay with taping the lids to the dishes or don't plan on moving the dishes often. That said, they COULD function, just not optimally.

I returned this product for two reasons -Upon arrival, two of the ten dishes in the sleeve were cracked/broken. But even if they had not been damaged, I would have returned them anyway due to the lids being too loose. I'm willing to admit that perhaps I don't know enough about different types and of Petri dishes (I was planning to use these for storage of boardgame pieces). It may very well be that this is an intentional style of dish that has specific purposes. But based on others I have used, I expected the lids to at least be a snug fit, if not actually snapping on. These lids rest on top so loosely that they actually rattle when moved. The lids simply cannot stay in place in any position other than sitting flat on the tabletop. That may be intentional for some Petri purposes, but for my needs it made these unusable.

Husband bought these to raise baby crickets,,I was skeptical but NOW have lots of babies,,the quality is great,,going to order more for baby crickets

Honestly, this petri dishes is inexpensive with lid and sterilized. And they worked well.

Lids did not fit the dishes. Smaller than typical petri dishes and flimsy plastic.

All the items are in good condition. The petri dish is sterile. Great deal
