Great Product
Very easy to use. Solidly built product at a fraction of what others charge for similar items. Very easy and straight forward set-up. All surfaces that come in contact with the slide are nylon. As with anything that is universal. It is possible that not all gun slide will fit the supplied blocks. There are several blocks that come with the unit that make it adaptable for most guns. The blocks are made of aluminum to make it easy to change the shape of the blocks to fit your gun. You can modify the blocks to fit your particular slide or you can be make a block of hard wood to fit.The bottom block is easily adjusted to adjust the pusher to the correct position. The pusher is made of heat treated steel. This gives that pusher a long life.I used this product to remove and install rear sights on a Glock 19 pistol along with my other pistols. Slide fit securely in the pusher during the entire process. If you are even considering removing and installing rear sights on a handgun, this is a must have tool. There is very little risk of damaging the sights as is possible for those who use a hammer and punch to remove and install rear sights. You can’t go wrong with this product.

Th package was good and it got here quick the case is good ...
Th package was good and it got here quick the case is good and such. The thing is it looks used,,now it could be the factory socket left marks on just one screw as the paint is chipped off where a socket should fit or someone sent it back and it got kicked back into inventory to be sold as new, I'm not sure which. The other thing is that none of the blocks in the kit have the same thread pattern as the bolts provided you can get one or two threads on them then ya have to go to a wrench and it re-threads the bolts. It's not huge problem just looks like QC is lacking. I used it on my glock per instructions and it did leave marks on my mepro rear sight, it does work though but kinda feels clunky. Not worth the trouble to send it back I will just modify it some to work better but I probably wouldnt buy another or recommend it to anyone. =(

Sylvan Arms I am impressed.
Purchased the sylvan arms advanced sight tool off eBay. Was skeptical because this was a gift for a relative and was concerned whether or not it would work properly. I mean who can make a kit that has all of the adapters to clamp the slide for multiple pistols without damaging it. Well I'm here to say that when I used this, I was impressed, Sylvan Arms has made a reasonably priced product that works well. This was used on a sw shield 40, 3 glocks and a Kimber without any issues. The kit is simple to use, comes with everything you need to make the proper adjustment to your front site. After you safely disassemble the slide from the frame, you select the proper blocks, install them, place the slide in and tighten the clamp. The use a small wrench to turn the head head to move your front side, a wrench isn't necessary but allows you to use decent control to make small adjustments. The only improvement I would suggest would be to machine a relief for the front spring tang on the slide to fit for use on M&P shields, either that or make it so you can move the pusher detail fore or aft to align with your site. For the shield we had to clamp it in at an angle for it to work for us but wasn't a major issue. The recipient of the gift was very pleased with the quality and ease of use and I'll be checking out the pamphlet of other sylvan arms products to see what else they have.I would highly recommend this product to anyone!

Horrible!!!
Such a simple tool and they couldn't even do it correctly. First, The blocks have cutaways to allow the bottom rest to raise up. There isn't enough to do this, the blocks are too big and/or the bottom rest is too long. Second, the screw for the bottom rest interferes with the slice you are attempting to change the sights on. There isn't enough room. In order to fix this and make it operational, I can just make my own from scratch. It also looks like it had been opened and return previously, now I see why. I'm returning this now.

Excellent Buy - Comes with travel bag and all!
I bought this tool for a family member. He wanted me to post a review for him. "Strong sight pusher tool. I was able to adjust the sight quick and easy. It's outer frame is thick dense metal and the extra blocks are perfect for what I need. Great bag too."

Well Made
This Sight Pusher is a great buy. It is very well made and works well. I am glad i purched it instead of the others that were advertised. It is well worth the price. I will recommend it to my shooting buddies.

not as advertised.
i have never written a review before, but this product was so bad I had to warn others.I was trying to remove a front sight from my XDM 5.25. this is NOT a front sight removing tool. the attachments are made to remove rear sights only but was advertised as front and rear. the crank is cheaply made and the tool has no vise space so you can crank it while having the stability of a vise.

Not bad if you are mechanically inclined
Decently made product for the money. There are some very expensive sight pushers on the market. The only reason I'm giving this a 3 out of 5 is because I had to modify the plate that goes on the bottom of the pistol slide to accommodate the part that accepts the recoil spring (on the slide) so I could get the slide far back enough to push the front sight out. A person without mechanical know how might be s.o.l. If this "universal sight pusher" can't accommodate their particular pistol.
