Hefty. Careful about Using it Remotely
I have used the 3000W inverter on and off over the past two months with various types and configurations of solar panels and batteries. It performs well under a load of up to 1200W and probably performs well beyond that, although I have not tried. It is well built. One thing that I have noticed is that, as stated in the description, it does shut off under low voltage. However, the shutoff voltage is around 11.8V or 11.9V - not the 10.5V (+/- 3V) shown in the instruction manual. Of course, this is good for a lead acid battery under load because the inverter will shut down before the battery completely runs down. Running the battery completely down will dramatically shorten its life. The description/manual also states that "When the input voltage rises to approximately 11.4 β 11.9V DC, the inverter restores to normal operation and the red FAULT indicator will turn off." This is not correct. Even after a battery is fully charged to 12.9V, the fault like still blinks and the inverter does not come back on. I called WindyNation and spoke with a knowledgeable gentleman who verified that the only way to get the inverter to resume normal operation is to manually toggle the ON/OFF switch. This means that, at a remote unmanned site, a low voltage condition will cause the power to be off until someone can visit and reset it.WindyNation told me a good rule of thumb to minimize the likelihood of batteries being run down below 50% - which is about as low as it is safe to go without damaging lead acid batteries. The rule of thumb is that choose a bank of deep cycle batteries that have as many amp hours as your solar panels have wattage. For example, six 100 watt solar panels should have a battery system rated at 600AH. This is general guidance and the exact ratio depends on the amount of sunshine in your location and the season. But, my experience over the past few months in North Texas is pretty much in line with this recommendation.

Great 3 plugs with individual on/off toggles!
I really like that it has an on/off switch and that each outlet also has a switch. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because if I had to do it again I would have liked to have a 12V outlet on it. It is very large so make sure you factor that into the location you are planning for it. It runs the small things very well, the test will be when we hit the road to see if it can run the refrigerator while we are driving.

Great inverter for the price within the warranty period
Very good inverter. Quiet and reliable for 1 year. However, after 1 year of light use at my cabin, the inverter would trip as soon as I switched the batteries on without any load. I switched out the inverter with a backup modified sine wave inverter for a week and then switched back a week later. It worked fine for another 2 months but the began tripping again as soon as I would switch the batteries on, no load. All terminals and connections were clean and tight using 2AWG 3' cables from a 12 volt 400 ah battery array. I talked to technical support and the man was very nice, but couldn't determine the issue and said I would have to email customer service to ask if they would service it since it was two months past the 1 year warranty. I had bought the same model again through Amazon in the meantime since I think its a great inverter, but buyer beware once the warranty period expires.

Good price, pleased so far
I bought this in December to use in a camper van. It is now mid-June and is our primary electricity source. This is our first foray into anything other than shore power. We have it paired with a 100 aph battery. The inverter will run our air conditioner on high for over an hour before the battery gets to the 50% point. It's also been used for electric blankets, a c-pap machine, computers and to boil water in a hot pot. I've not noticed it getting over warm so far and I've not had a problem with power fluctuations in the van so far.

Power delivery lagging and unstable
To be quite frank I am somewhat disappointed in this unit. Don't get me wrong this unit is far better than a non sine wave inverter but the device has a hard time powering several simple machines that are under the rated amperage. For example I have a fry cooker which is just a heating element and a fan (7 amp) and the fan hardly spins at all when the heating element is on and only slightly speeds up when the heating element is off, I also have a pressure washer that does not kick on unless its circuit breaker is tripped a couple of times while holding the trigger meaning that the unit is not giving full power instantaneously when the trigger is pulled to cause the pump to turn on but I don't have this issue when plugged into a wall outlet. I've also noticed that when multiple products are plugged in one takes preference and the other nearly quits running. I have full voltage of 13 volts while running and the loads are only 3 amp and 7 amp but the 7 amp kills off the 3 amp.

It seems very well built and so far it works great. I only use it to power a microwave
I have been using this Inverter for about one month. It seems very well built and so far it works great. I only use it to power a microwave, a CPAP machine and a drill and they all work perfectly however, I think the watt gage is not acurate, otherwise I would have given it five stars rating.

Works great...But..!
It turned on and runs my system just fine, no noise. But...the watt meter shows 00, it shows battery voltage correctly but no watts. Recycled and checked everything..no joy. For running tools and occasional loads you need to watch the watts..not posible. I would return it...but, its on my boat in central america...too expensive to return.

Inverter works but Watt meter is useless
I got the 1500 Watt version and it functions great. Knocked a star off because the wattage readout reads very low, I hook up a 60 Watt light and it shows 10 Watts, a bummer because that's one of the reasons I chose this unit. The battery voltage readout is accurate however.
