Did not Read it.
I bought this book for a college class but never read it. Still own it though. I give it five stars because I am sure if I would have read it I would have done better in the class.

Timely delivery and brilliant source book
The Bedford Series is brilliant and I cannot recommend it enough.This one is no exception and as usual has plenty of diverse primary sources which is hard to come by these days. Very good for research or just an interesting read on an interesting subject .

Well-chosen primary sources that give the reader a legitimate and balanced understanding of the mid-70's and the problems, concerns, and debates over oil production and distribution.

meh
this book, while full of relevant information on the time period, did not cover many personal experiences at all. Also, their are not references to art of the time or entertainment, which directly reflects the news and feelings of the time! the book simply ends with no closure and offers only one political view, which appears mostly leftist. There is a series of questions in the back, i believe, and a timeline, which are great! they were my favorite parts of the book. Merrill comes with her credentials, but this book is EXTREMELY brief. This would be great in addition to another text on the time period, a more complete text that is.Good luck with this read and any assignment attached to it :}
