Addictively Good Night Time Treat
These night time snack bars are really tasty. Maybe TOO tasty. I have been tempted to have a second one before bed. The solution for me was to try to eat one at least an hour before bed instead of ten minutes before trying to go to sleep. This works better as the food has more time to digest and then obviously create less of a hunger feeling - and therefore a lower motivation to keep digging into the box. That takes me to the next point. For the size of these, the price is a bit up there. Sure, it comes out to around $2 a bar, which is on par or even lower than other protein type bars. Plus this bar is unique in the sense that it is made specifically for those who like to snack at night. Therefore, I don't really dock points on the review for it. I think the four stars is more borne from the fact that I wish they were just a LITTLE bigger. If they were just a tad larger I think the temptation of last minute eating more than one would diminish. But in the end it's nothing that a little more self control can't take care of.Great job on these snacks. Looking forward to trying other flavors in the future.

Does the job!
The bars do what they’re intended to do! Which is great. If I get home too late or don’t want to cook and think i’m not terribly hungry, i have one of these and i’m good until the morning! The flavor is kind of a bummer. The first bite always tastes like dirt and then as i get through it, the taste grows on me. This is not a protein bar but some of the flavor profile is similar to that of a protein bar. I give it 3 stars because it does its job, i just wish it was tastier!

Not low carb, but perfect for nighttime snacking
This bar is not low carb. It’s actually high in complex carbs which is better than protein for nighttime snacking. Tastes good, but not like a candy bar or protein bar. Right in the middle. Not so good that you want 2, but not so bad you will toss them and go back to your ice cream routine. They are perfect for what they are advertised as.

The bad taste will wake you up...
Sorry, but these Cookies & Dreams flavored bars taste like Oreos mixed with NyQuil or something. They're bittersweet. Maybe it'll put something on your stomach and help you get back too sleep, but so will a bowl of cereal in my experience... Maybe I'll try another flavor in the future, but that's a gamble I'd say...

Good stuff.
I originally purchased NightFood to help battle some of my hunger cravings while I was recovering from surgery and going through radiation. The doctors had me on some heavy duty steroids, and I was HUNGRY. ALL. THE. TIME. I took my first bite of NiteFood thinking it would be like any other fiber bar that allegedly keeps you full for 100 calories but tastes like chalk or sticks and leaves you more hungry than when you started *glares at the Fiber One box doomed to the depths of his pantry*. Cookies and Dreams tasted similar to a candy bar (the cookies and cream texture is perfect for this application), and while NiteFood did not leave me feeling full, it took the edge off the steroid hunger I was going through (a feet previously matched by half of an 8-piece family meal from Popeye's). It may be a little expensive at $2ish/bar, but it tastes good and it actually relieved my hunger, so it was worth it. I wish it were a little sweeter, but that would kill the whole low-calorie vibe they have going. NiteFood does it's job well of providing a satisfying snack that won't keep you awake at night or ruin your diet.

Great idea, poor flavor
I was excited when I stumbled upon this product - I often resort to a protein bar before bed when a craving kicks in even when I would rather avoid the dense calories. These seemed to be the perfect solution to satisfy the bedtime sweet tooth without spiraling into a binge throws off sleep. Unfortunately, the taste is terrible compared to most other bars I would buy (i.e. Luna, Rx Bar, Think Thin, Cliff). I won't buy again.

Bars are good but read ingredients before buying.
The taste is great and I believe it helped me sleep but they do have a lot of carbs and sugar as well as saturated fat which I try to avoid completely.

Taste good
Taste is pretty typical of a protein bar. I’m diabetic so they do a good job for a before bed snack but calories are a little high. Taste is good though
