Fast and Cool
Great product so far. Using this with my MacBook Pro 16 M1Max. I was hoping to get a 10 GbE adapter, but due to price/availability/over-heating concerns in reviews, I started looking for 2.5G or 5G until good 10G ones are available. After looking through other products and seeing complaints about heat or that most are using the older RTL8156, instead of the updated RTL8156B chip this one uses, I decided to try this adapter. I also saw this had an aluminum case, and didn't require loading any driver for Mac OS. I received the product yesterday, and so far, very happy with it. It worked after plugging in (without needing to install a driver). Looking at System Report/System Information, shows a name of "USB 10/100/1G/2.5G LAN", a maximum link speed of 2.5 Gb/s (as expected), and it is using the native apple driver. Tested the speed with iperf3 to a QNAP nas with a 10 GbE connection (through a Netgear switch), and saw a fairly consistent 2.35 Gb/s. My network is not using Jumbo Frames, so with overhead, a very good result compared with what was seen with 1 GbE adapters. This adapter stayed cool with the default 10 second run, so I ran it for 10 minutes, the speeds stayed consistent, the adapter was just slightly warm. Will update if things change, but very happy with the performance, quality, and price of this adapter.

A great little network adapter!
Even though wi-fi is everywhere these days, I found sometimes it's very beneficial to have a physical adapter to plug into a wired network. Use this on MacBooks which only have USB C ports for doing major updates or when a rebuild is necessary and it works great.

Works flawlessly with macOS and Linux
Just passed the 6 month mark since I received this and haven't had a single issue. Works great connected directly to an M1 MacBook Air or via a CalDigit hub (for that single cable lifestyle). The adapter never gets hot and the connection is rock solid.I'm also using this directly connected to a Linux laptop. Same, full performance.Using iperf3 sending UDP, the adapter sustains 2.4 Gbps when negotiated at 2500Base-T and 950 Mbps when negotiated at 1000Base-T.Already own two. Likely will buy more.

Works fine in Windows; not so well in Linux
I have two of these adapters. They are solidly built and work as promised in Windows 11 and Linux. However, if you run Linux and your network uses VLANs, these devices don't properly connect to the network. I've tried the three latest versions of the vendor-provided drivers (these use the Realtek R8156 chip); none of them solve the problem. Other adapters work using the same network/switch configurations, but neither RSHtech adapters will work; so either something is up with the hardware or the Realtek drivers. If this is your use-case, it may be best to look for something else. If not, I would recommend these adapters.

My wired internet is much faster
I use the adapter and have found that it works great. The connection is stable and consistent, with no drops or interruptions during use. The speeds are consistently faster than using the built-in Ethernet port on my computer, making it a valuable upgrade for anyone who needs a faster network connection. One of the things I appreciate about the adapter is its compact size. It's small enough to easily fit into a bag or pocket, making it a convenient accessory to bring with you on the go. It's also very easy to set up - simply plug it into your USB-C port and connect your Ethernet cable.
