Need something to assist with airflow in my 8x14 chicken barn that's about 10 feet tall. We have a window in the back with a large access door for the chickens and a 7x7 vent in the front top. It is very hot outside, so slightly warmer in the coop. Ammonia was also starting to build from being damp from all the rain even after I keep the coop cleaned weekly. I am very impressed with the movement of air despite the shade from nearby trees. I am anxious to see how it works tomorrow in the full sun. The switch fit through the slats of the vent so I didn't need to do any drilling. I also attached the fan to the vent with a few zip ties. It took about 10 minutes to do the project from start to finish.... Very easy to install.

Allto Solar Waterproof Solar Powered Fan Kit works as described.The fan is small and basically is just a larger computer case fan, but it does circulate the air around pretty well in a small area. I ended up getting a second kit to have a little more air flow in a small chicken coop. If you have a small coop this should work fine, but if you have a large coop or larger area that you are trying to use it in, you probably should go with another device that has a larger fan and more power.This kit only works when the sun is out and shining on the panel, there is no battery storage of any kind. This however is perfect for what I wanted it for, as I do not want it running at night.As fall/winter has arrived, I don't need these running right now, but they ran straight every day for 3 or 4 months all summer long without any issues at all. They have gotten rained on a couple of times and so far it has not had any negative impact on their performance. Unlike some kits, this one has an on/off switch built into the cable. I really like that so if I simply want it off, I can flip the switch and not have to either cover the panel or disconnect the cable from the solar panel.Overall I think that this is a pretty good little solar fan kit for small areas and where you do not want to or is too far away to run electricity.

I have an 8 x 12 greenhouse and this little fan does a great job. It is actually pretty powerful. It doesn't cool the entire greenhouse on its own when it gets really hot - but it certainly helps. I love that I don't have to do anything. When the sun comes up it just turns on by itself via the solar panel, then stops working when the sun goes down. Can't be more simple.

I like the simplicity of it, but it would be nice if the fan actually works. Easy to set up and all. Just doesn't work. Unit is a hit or miss. Gonna get it exchanged and hope for the best.Edit- got a replacement the next day and it worked like it should. The company should really check if everything works before packing it and it got annoying when their customer service started harassing me to change my review to five stars.
