3D printing enthusiasts will LOVE this tape! Cover your printer bed deck for easy removal of prints and replace tape easily as it wears. 3D printers do not come with good surfaces for easy print removal. This Blue Painters Tape is Professional Grade multi-use Contractors tape featuring a specially formulated, high tack adhesive. Works for textured, semi-rough, or smooth surfaces and has the tackiness it needs to adhere to your surfaces yet allows for clean removal up to 21 days. High performance masking tape is for general industrial, construction, and do-it-yourself use. The acrylic adhesive system will not dry out or lose holding power. Works well on drywall, glass, hardwood floors, wood trim, and a variety of surfaces. Most typical use is LATEX paint jobs and window protection mask off. (REMOVE SLOWLY and carefully from freshly painted surfaces!) Very Important: Surfaces must be well cleaned, dust free, greaseless, and very dry before application. While the backing of the tape is moisture resistant the adhesive is definitely not. ALL adhesive is pressure & heat sensitive. Make sure you press it firmly after application. Apply at room temperature or above if possible. The dryer and warmer the installation area, the more you run your fingers over it, the better the adhesion (less bleed). REMOVE ASAP! (always pull gently at slight angle AWAY from painted edge) Painters tape is known as semi-permanent removable, it gets stronger every day. The longer you leave it on the more difficulty removing it. Rolled or brushed paint jobs require much sooner removal than sprayed. Blue Painters Tape is not for everything! May not play well with all types of oil based paints, lacquers, etc. You must be willing to experiment, there are 100's of kinds of tape for a reason. Other uses: 3D print bed masking or printer deck covering, Glue or Caulk lines, Over spray protection, Chrome protection when cutting or grinding.

Worthy purchase if this nearly matches your bed's Y axis
Keep next to scissors as it doesn't tear straight across. Huge time saver, no more lining up four stupid strips of painters tape and having lines on my print surface. I have not gone back to regular painters tape since I bought this. Fun bonus, you can make big tape signs for doors, such as "keep door closed, printing stinky ABS" right on the huge piece of tape!

Sticks good, well for the first few minutes.
Sticks good, well for the first few minutes. - until the printer plate heats up, then after a layer or 2 it lifts right up about 3+ mm. Ruined many prints until I looked at it carefully at it when pulling a print. CAN NOT HANDLE ANY SORT OF HEAT!

This tape works well in that the printed parts stick to to the tape very well, however the tape tends to release from the bed easily. The result is that the part tends to warp even with PLA because it pulls the tape so far off of the bed..I have a few things that I plan to try to get better adhesion to the bed (and I will update this review if I find a solution), but at this point it doesn't seem to work as well as standard blue tape from the home improvement stores which has never released from the bed like this.A big plus is that it does go on in one piece which greatly simplifies the process and this 6 inch size is perfect for my Flashforge Creator Pro bed and eliminates the lines between separate strips of tape.SO as of now, I give it 3 stars for how easy it is to apply, but how poorly it adheres to the printing bed which cause the prints to fail.

Easy to remove but in this case that is a problem.
Great wide roll (+1) to be used for my 3D printer bed. Issue is the adhesive is pretty weak (-1) and every print the tape pulls up/off (-1). Sometimes it will go back down but 50% of the time it tears (-1) when removing the print. Also any mild warping of the print pulls the tape from the bed even with PLA. Overall not the best tape and much less effective than the 3M version of the same product.

Too wide and filament didnt stick
I bought this tape to use on my ender 3v2 on a pei bed that i was having trouble getting anything to stick to. I previously used 3m painters tape with good results.Having such a wide tape sounded like a good idea but for me it ended up being a greater annoyance. Its difficult to tear such a wide tape, also such a wide tape has a tendency to split so your constantly trying to avoid the tape coming split apart. Finally it was not effective for my bed adhesion issues. I tried this with different filanent pla+, carbon fiber pla, and wood pla, where as on the 3m painters tape all three adhered to.

Releases from the bed, puckers and bubbles
Thought this would be a nice alternative to multiple widths of tape on my wife's Flashforge Finder but it won't stay down on the bed during the build. Adding glue stick on top makes it even worse because it starts to bubble and pucker then pulls up off the build surface. I thought maybe the textured surface on the unheated bed was causing it to release but I flipped the bed to the smooth glass side and it did the same thing. The 2 and 3 inch wide 3M tape works fine and I've never had an issue with it pulling up or puckering like this tape. Eh, maybe I just got a bad roll. It seems to work for others.

Blue side didn't increase 3D printer bed adhesion for me.
I was going to use this tape as a wider 3M blue tape as some 3D printed materials need that extra roughness for good initial layer adhesion. The blue backing on this tape is more similar to tyvek than the papery texture of the 3M product. I couldn't get any 3D printed material to stick well to the blue side. The sticky side was quite sticky and remained firmly attached to the bed even at 70C degrees.I can't recommend this product to increase 3D printer bed adhesion.
