Great show but disc 2 has an authoring flaw
Fun series, esp. if you're into sci fi with a cyberpunk aesthetic. The limited edition box is made from sturdy chipboard material and includes has some nice swag relating to iconic elements from the show. That said, that it seems a batch of these sets left the factory with manufacturing defects. After going through an exchange of this set via Amazon, playback on both copies 'stutter' on disc 1 at the following times:36m 20s2h 2m 13s2h 4m 44sAgain, both copies, at the exact same moments, right down to the frame. It's as if playback is paused for a second, then continues on.As for the DVD copies included, both copies had discoloration on the playable surfaces of the discs. After experiencing these flaws for the first time, thankfully the exchange process is pretty easy with Amazon. Unfortunately, it was surprising to find the exact same flaws in the replacements; the problem isn't a 'one off'.No response from Funimation customer service on this issue, but if that changes I'll update the review.

I enjoyed it
Wild crazy stupid ride lol!Animation looks great! Characters are interesting. Story isn’t bad imo. More on the darker side of things but I appreciate that sometimes. As for something I didn’t like. I will say, main girl almost has a moment with some unsavory fellows…. hint hint… sadly… after this moment she gives herself “the haircut”. You know the one. The same haircut woman in movies, shows, games seem to not be able to escape now a days.No joke made me like her less. I seriously believed she became more annoying. Outside of this, shows awesome!

Awesome Cyberpunk miniseries.
A great Cyberpunk mini series. After watching an episode on Crunchyroll, then seeing this at 55% off on blu-ray, I couldn't pass it up.Brilliant cast of rouges and one who accidently finds herself becoming an Akudama. Tasked with completing a job while being hunted. The morally grey is handled very well, too.Just about everything in this work is outstanding on a technical level. Stunning animation (lower episode count probably helped this), action and shot composition--arguably the best work Pierrot has done in awhile. (there are only a few jarring moments here and there when a 3DCGI model of Courier on his bike blends into a 2D digital version is very noticeable, even if it is a few frames, it just sticks out too much, but hey, modern animation...) Colours are amazing, soundtrack is top notch. Voice cast is solid. While most will playout how you would assume, given the premise, there are a few surprises along the way. After years of being starved on Cyberpunk anime, No Guns Life and this have been great findings in recent times. While I prefer No Guns Life, Akudama Drive as a stand alone miniseries is well worth the watch if you are into Cyberpunk, sci-fi or action series'--and some of the action in this, doesn't pull any punches.A thank you to Amazon for the price and next day delivery, brilliant service!

Worth Every Penny
This is worth every penny, especially if it is on sale. But if it isn't, that is okay too, because the price might go up or this will go out of stock.Nothing was cheap about it, and it now nicely sit next to my Outlaw Star and G Gundam special collectors.

wanted a better ending.
Good story, lots of action, and I'm glad that at least one company still cares enough about the fans to give them the option of watching it on DVD( which it seems like the people behind The Slime Diaries, and season 2 of How Not To Summon A Demon Lord, don't). I would have liked a happier ending.
