Polare Full Grain Leather Laptop Briefcase Messenger Bag Vintage Travel Case for Men

I've only had this bag a week, so I can't yet speak to its durability but I've already noticed some improvements over their previous efforts. I've owned leather messenger bags for years and I tend to be very hard on them. The quality of the leather for the 2 Polare bags I've owned have been very good. The bag I purchased 2 years ago still shows almost no wear to the leather and I imagine that this bag will wear in a similar way.My last Polare bag had problems with some of the fasteners, rivets, and stitching. This new bag has addressed this issues with a much better design that takes stress away from the parts that failed in the previous bag. They also changed the front-flap closing method from a belt-type closure that was wearing and stretching to a double clasp that is easy to open and close.There is a zipper under the flap for the main section. While this seems like a well-intentioned feature, it is not one that I am likely to use and I am happiest that the design allows for the open zipper to be tucked out of the way and not limit what I can put in the bag.They replaced the design of the inner pockets with a more malleable fabric. This is easier to use, and I'm curious if this will have the same durability - though it might since it is on the inside of the bag.I also like the way the front outside pocket has been redesigned. I am currently using it for all of the dongles/adapters I need and that is very handy.A zipper has been added to the back pocket and my biggest complaint about the addition of the zipper is that it narrows the width of the back pocket so that it is not wide enough for the things that I would like to put in there.Overall, the bag does not hold quite as much as my old one. For most people, this won't be a problem. It holds a 15" laptop, tablet, headphones, pens and pencils, and a few manila folders of paperwork without a problem. I get into trouble when I need to carry around a few musical scores as this is not designed to add 3-4" of paper width (and probably weight as well).

I looked around quite a bit and did a lot of research before I settled on the Polare briefcase.The briefcase arrived quickly and nicely packaged in a fabric bag. The briefcase looked as I had envisionedand looked just like the photos on Amazon. I had been concerned about fitting my one or two 15" Macbook Pros that I usually carry with me. As you can see from the photos, it has plenty of room and fits easily 2 Macbook Pros.It also has a few zippered pockets which I did not realize that I needed until I was traveling withthe briefcase. The outside one came in handy for storing travel documents as you do not need to openthe flap to get to the content.Unfortunately after just some use, I noticed that one of the seams on the briefcase started to come up.I am not sure it would have affected the actual function of the briefcase but I was a little bit disappointed.This is however where my real excitement about the briefcase started. I contacted Polare customer servicedepartment and could not be happier with how they handled the issue. They responded quickly, kindly andwith empathy and went above my expectations to resolve the issue. Their customer service is outstanding.I have received a lot of compliments on the look of the briefcase and could not be happier with the purchase.If you are looking for a spacious bag to fit one or two laptops and still have room for more, this wouldbe a great choice. You will get a great briefcase from a company with fantastic customer service.

I ordered this as a gift for my husband to use as a briefcase and laptop carrier. He was thrilled when he opened the pkg and saw the leather. I ordered the dark brown. It is slightly distressed and appears to be very well made. The leather smells and looks great. The stitching is even and looks very strong. The front clasps are very sturdy metal. The interior is a heavy suede material that is attractive and thick. There is a zippered pocket on the back of the case for easy access to travel documents or other miscellaneous items without opening the main compartments. The main compartments are large enough for his 15.5 laptop to be held securely and files or other items to be placed in this zippered area., There are also smaller pockets for pens and various office type supplies. He has not used the shoulder strap yet but it looks very sturdy and was comfortable when he tried it briefly. He loves that it doesn't fall over when put down. The bottom is flat and strong. The first week he used this, he was at a conference and a crowd was gathered looking at it. They (rudely I think) were speculating on just how much I paid for this birthday gift. He said the guesses were $500 and up! I have to say I would have guessed more than I paid after seeing it in person. Definitely worth the money and will be a great gift for the future.

I was looking for something just big enough to carry a 14" laptop, all of the accessories and some paperwork and folders. This one is the perfect size as it's compact yet big enough for all of your essentials. Quality appears to be really good, although I've only had it for a month so time will tell. The design is very nice and the distressed finish on the leather adds a ruggedness to a classy bag.

I have been using this bag for a year nowIts practical and a complement getterThe only small thing is that I had to glue back the two ends of the handle on the topand fix one of the inside pockets.

I had bought this bag for my fiances graduation gift. He wasnt too sure at first if he wanted it as he spent 4 years wearing a backpack. After a couple of days he got a hang of it and now he takes it everywhere. His ginormous laptop barely fits but it is an abnormaly large sized laptop. Mines fits perfectly.Its a heavy duty leather. Certainly had the leather smell for the first couple of days. Feels like a wonderful good quality leather. Certainly had the leather smell for a couple of days. The shoulder strap adjusts quite a bit depending on how you like it. There is a zipper to close the inside as well as the flap with its clasps for extra protection. The buckles are very secure but realeases nice and easy. Stitching is well done. Very high quality breifcase.

I will update this review after more use. So far it seems well made, nice thick/sturdy leather. It has a two tone finish..so as things rub against it/ more its used, a red undertone shows through the brown ( doesn't rub off onto anything just colour shows through). As this was for my husband, who enjoys more rustic/worn in items, he is very happy with it. It was packaged in a dust cover bag and came in great condition. Everything so far seems sturdy and well made. I will update if anything changes but so far i would recommend this bag.

This product came exactly as advertised. Good quality leather and sturdy construction. If you're interested in a long lasting bag I would recommend this product. Using a backpack is fine until you need to look a little sharper. As a student, it fits my needs perfectly and also functions well in my professional life. Handles all my every day carry pretty well (laptop and accessories, water bottle, textbooks and scribblers, even a couple sandwiches fit). It is surprisingly spacious and has a nice quality feel to it. The full-grain leather develops a lovely patina over time and looks beautiful. You don't need to spend 700 bucks on a Saddleback bag because this one is just as good.

My son uses this as his everyday bag to haul his laptop, textbooks, etc to university (pre-COVID). If it can stand up to that it will take business use easily. There is lots of storage and the leather and stitching is still in great condition after a full year of abuse.
