Armitron Adventure Men's AD/1001BKSVGN Solar Powered Date Function Dial Army Green Nylon Strap Watch

Received this watch 3 weeks ago and set the time that day. It is now running exactly 3 seconds slow, losing 1 secondper week. For a watch at this price point that is remarkable.It looks sharp and modern.The watch strap did not grab me. For my taste it was a mis-match, but it’s replacement leather band looks superb.Had I never seen this watch and someone said it cost a couple of thousand, I would not doubt them.If there is any sort of longevity with this timepiece, it will be an absolute bargain!

I like how it looks and and I like that it is solar powered so that I am not likely to need to worry about a battery problem for many years. When I got it, it was already keeping the correct time. I placed it on the window sill for indirect sunlight so it must now be fully charged and it is running well. My only reason for not giving it a higher rating is the nylon strap. This is my first watch with such a strap of that material and that fits under the watch. I'm not terribly crazy about it. It also is much longer than any of my other watch bands. Frankly, I might later switch it for a leather strap and I think it would look nicer. However, I did want it for use at the pool and the beach. For those purposes, I think that it will be just right.

love it, runs forever on very little light.

The watch seemed to be working great until I put it away for a couple of weeks and stopped working sometime in the dark. Useless and only 6 months. old and Amazon no longer supports my purchase. But it looks great!

Stopped working... Won't charge for some reason. Took it to a watch repair shop and they say it's beyond repair.

It is a good watch overall, but it is really big and the numbers are not. Solar power seems to work, although it stopped working on a previous Armitron product I purchased.

The watch is also water resistant up to 50m = 165 Feet.The watch is simple to set like most pull out the knob on the side and twist to the correct time pop back in and you're set.This is a beautiful watch and would make a lovely gift for that special man in your life.

I know it didn't receive high reviews however, love is in the eye of the beholder. He loves this watch, his word for it was "fresh", the band is textured silicone but makes it appear like a rugged cloth. He liked the band. It's water resistance which is great because he wears it to the beach and likes the military style of the green army band. Definately his style of watch.

Great watch. I am very much inti solar powered watches. I wanted an everyday watch so that my expensive one doesn’t take a beating when I am out fishing or just doing work around the house. I did switch the band out for a more traditional watch bracelet. We will see how it fares over the years.

Thought it may show up in the dark but it doesn't. Thats all.

works good,in the winter ,once a week under a lamp for 10 hrs.
