ShinHanProfessional Watercolor Insert palette-18 Colors-Polycarbonate

I bought this and and the full-sized shinhan palette that it goes with together; I paid for brand new, and got used. There were scratches and paint stains, and the seller refused to cover return shipping or send me a replacement. As to the product itself, it would have been all right for regular studio use if not for one problem: the wells have little "textured" squares in each that are supposed to prevent your dried watercolors from falling out. They DON'T. At ALL. Half of my watercolors are falling out now that they're dry; the little textured areas don't do s***. The only paints that aren't sliding around in their wells or falling out if I try to close the d*** palette are the ones from M.Graham with the honey in them, because those don't ever fully dry, they stay tacky. I can't even close this palette, and as a result I have to keep picking cat and dog hairs out of my paints. This palette is a solid BUST, and the seller absolutely will *not* help you out if you aren't happy!!

I purchased both the ShinHan Professional Watercolor Palette then the insert. It’s a very nice design. Well made. I use the insert palette to carry gouache in addition to watercolors. This also allows for extra mixing space. All carried in one convenient box palette. The wells have a patch of slight texture to help paint adhere more fully.I like this palette very much. I think the only improvement that could be made would be the snap closure should be more secure. I put a Velcro strap or a rubber band around just to be on the safe side when carrying around in backpack. This also makes it more airtight.Shipping was very fast. Thank you. Would definitely recommend this palette system.

Was hoping this was the answer to keeping all my paints in one palette, but it doesn't fit securely in the other palette, and it goes in the top side, so every time I open the large palette, this just falls out. I will be returning and continuing my search for a palette with lots of wells.

This is actually larger and more pretty than expected. I thought the complete palette was ovverpriced but now that I see the details and size I will buy the regular one.Even for standalone use it is great, I really like the little lip on each container that helps remove excess paint from the brush

Great palett. Roomy sections to fill with your watercolor paints and lots of them. I like it a lot.Snap shut works besutifully. Plenty of space to mix. Very lightweight.
