Very nice basic starter set.
Got these for my 'niece' (friends daughter) who just got her first apartment, a tiny cramped studio, and she tells me how they are perfect for her small space. She eats a lot of vegetarian dishes and, from her breakdown, the heat distribution on the larger pan is great for making quinoa, rice, and stewed veggie dishes. The handles stay cool even when she's reducing down pilaf and such, and the saucepan let's her fry up some 'mean tofu' with 'killer spicy sweet garlic sauce' that used to burn onto her old pans. The sauce sounds good, and the fact that it's not burning is good, but tofu? YecchhhAnyway, she is very impressed and is very, very happy with how this trio is allowing her to cook for herself in her tiny kitchen. I can't recommend only eating twigs and roots and berries, but from her raving, I can recommend this starter pan set. 18 year old vegetarian approved.
