Halo Natural Dry Cat Food, Sensitive Stomach Seafood Medley,

I waited to write this review until my cat was done with her first bag of Halo Sensitive Stomach Dry Cat Food to make sure she had no problems keeping it down. We adopted Savannah a little over 2 years ago from the local shelter. In that period of time, she has tried no less than a dozen different brands of dry cat food. Inevitably, I have had to switch to another dry kibble because she was unable to keep them down. Halo is the first brand that has seemingly given her no stomach issues. The kibble size is smaller than any other brand that she has tried. I believed that she needed a larger kibble that she could actually crunch to speed digestion, but I was wrong, lesson learned for both of us. For other cat owners, I've discovered Savannah does not stomach can cat food that is in the form of "pate". I'm not sure why that is but I have switched her over to eating "flaked" or "shaved" can food, which seems to agree with her. Life is never dull when you have critters around!Amended 6/15/2023: This Halo kibble cat food I've been feeding Savannah successfully for several months has had the recipe changed. As with many other reviewers the recipe has changed so much that cats are either not eating the food or it's causing them to vomit. I've stopped buying Halo sensitive stomach kibble and found a far superior product elsewhere.

I’ve fed my cats Halo for years. This bag was really expensive and the only reason I ordered from Amazon is because I’m housebound for a few weeks and needed food for my cat.

Please note, I almost never review products (this is the second or third time ever, in over a decade of steady purchases), but I feel compelled to report in (as others have) that our cat got very sick when this food was introduced (slowly over about a week's time and then wholly as the only dry food source). I researched sensitive stomach formulas, however between the time I researched and purchased, I didn't realize the FORMULA WAS CHANGED. Once solely on this food, our cat vomited over 20 times in a 48 hour period, causing the necessity for an acute visit to urgent care - pricey and of course, concerning regarding our cat's health. Since removing this food from his diet and returning to our old formula (non Halo brand), he has returned to normal.

My cat vomited at least twice a day for five years. After multiple trips to the vet, medication trials, and prescription foods, we didn't know how to help her. The vet was worried that if it got any worse, she may not survive. We were desperate to find a cure. I decided to give Halo Natural Dry Cat Food - Sensitive Stomach Recipe - Premium and Holistic Seafood Medley a try. This food saved my cat's life! Within days, the vomiting completely stopped! And based on how she meows and chases me around at feeding time, I believe that she loves the taste as well! I'd highly recommend giving this food a try! We are extremely grateful to have found this food for our cat!

So, based on this fact, whether cat(s) eat this or not must be depending on their body-built and ones preference. Some folks' cat may not like this taste, but ours did.Reason why I thought about this was our cat (3 yrs crossbreed) seemed to LOVE chicken flavor more than this seafood. It was such an instant reaction. So, I switched it to the chicken flavor since. We adopted her at the age of 2, so we kept on trying different foods, and finally got to this.I can imagine this could be tough or there is not a market for the manufactures, but if they could make a sample pack, little bit of each flavor, then cats can try them all. And we'd know which flavor to buy.Trying all 4 flavors in 3 lbs bag was a little too big…3, Recommend this product to :Anyone who is looking for a better pet food.
