Works Great in My Baofeng Radio
Seems to charge properly and appears to hold its charge as a new battery should.

Phenomenal Deal!!!!!
Baofeng 7.4v 1800mAh Li-ion Battery for UV-5RAfter purchasing a Baofeng UV-5RA, I was quick to search for another. It was a great deal, and a good performer. It actually cost less than a new battery for my other HTs. While the radio itself isn't a Yaesu FT-530, with every bell & whistle imaginable, it is smaller, lighter, and has plenty of features for the average user. This battery contributes to keeping the radio shirt pocket size, while allowing it to run for about 3-4 times as long as my good ole Yaesu. While searching for another UV-5RA, I was curious about available accessories such as spare batteries, external speaker/mic, better antenna, battery eliminator, case etc. I found this battery quickly and was pleasantly surprised by the price. Just a few days after placing my order, the batteries arrived, packed well, and earlier than the projected delivery date! The supplied tracking number allowed me to follow the delivery from packaging to my front door. Wow! What great service!Upon inspection, the batteries weren't generic aftermarket accessories, but genuine OEM products with an embossed housing bearing the Baofeng name. The battery is also clearly labeled in English. The radio's owner's manual clearly stated the battery is shipped from the factory not fully charged, and requires charging before use. Again, I was pleasantly surprised to find each battery completely charged! Perhaps the vendor charged them before shipping? With a mix of standby, dual watch, scanning, listening to FM Broadcast radio, and a few QSO's (conversations) on local repeaters (a mix of high and low transmit power), the radio announced the battery was in need of a charge. The charge lasted about a day and half. My older HT's with much larger heavier batteries, only last a few hours per charge. This battery is extremely affordable, small, light weight, and powerful. Charging time from discharge to full charge is only a couple of hours. The battery charges while on the radio, or by itself in the charger. The battery itself is a great example of today's technology, and the pricing and service from Amazon is second to none. This recent experience is the best so far! I just hope they keep up their inventory on Baofeng products because I'm going to buy more.W6WAT

Long lasting, but keep them dry!
Radio got wet from rain and works fine after dying it out. But the battery is not waterproof! Replacement was easy and inexpensive.

Great Battery
I own several of these for my UV-5R Plus radios. They are very inexpensive, rugged and last. I can usually get about 24hrs of standby or 6-8hrs of moderate transmit time on high power. I have been using them for almost a year without a problem. Only accept the ones that have the blue reflective strip on the back. The others are probably knock-offs. I had one that was all grey lettering on the back and it killed my charger. Also, remember to fully charge and discharge them several times in order to get the most out of them and the longest life!! Hope this helps.

One good one / one bad one
Didn't take and hold a fully charge. The charger's charge light would never turn 'green' on one of the batteries. (stayed red). The other battery charges and works fine.
