Powerfull SBC
This is a powerful SBC. It was very easy to set up thanks to the Oowow software installer. I chose the Ubuntu with desktop. It didn't come with a working browser, so after a quick google search, open the terminal and download firefox. Job done. Video playback is excellent on my 1080p monitor. I used a Raspberry Pi USB C 5V 3A power supply to power it and a keyboard and mouse over the USB 2 port. The fan on the cooler is noticeable every now and then during normal use, it may be quieter when I get a case. When I have some free time I am going to have a look at the Android option for the Vim4. Very happy with my purchase.

happy with the product
didn't get the chance to play around too much yet, but sw installation and support are very reasonable at this time.

Great fun. Not all that reliable
I own two. Both behave the same.Quite powerful and lots of fun. Each time I pull power it won't boot the freshly installed/configured OS on the eMMC. So, unreliable after power unplugged. Will boot OS if I keep it plugged in and soft power off.I will probably try to boot differently since these would never see the internet where I plan to use them. They will not see the internet for a few reasons. The first one is that its bootloader is not open source and I don't see a way of getting code nor replacing oowow. Opaque firmware is one of the highest risks. So, if these get deployed, they will be hidden inside a firewalled vlan (which it is unaware) and communicating only with local subnet. With "trust but verify" as the only smart choice; I cannot trust as I cannot verify.

Khadas's complex software issues shouldn't be accepted for its hardware alone.
The KHADAS AMLOGIC A311D2 shares strong similarities with the KHADAS ROCKCHIP Edge2 Pro. While operating at half the speed of the Edge2 Pro, it still boasts impressive performance, outperforming devices like the Nvidia Shield and many other Android boxes and single-board computers. However, the A311D2 falls short in other areas. It lacks Dolby Vision support, and its HDR performance is subpar. Users should also expect to encounter bugs. Additionally, some applications, such as Real Racing 3, require a touchscreen for age verification, presenting a usability issue. The Android experience is consistent between the KHADAS AMLOGIC A311D2 and the KHADAS Edge2 Pro, offering impressive functionality and versatility that makes it well-suited for work and digital signage. While not ready for desktop use and lacking key gaming and streaming features, its strengths lie in those digital signage and work applications. A touchscreen could further improve the user experience, though the device's price point may be a deterrent. This device is hindered by the absence of Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and Widevine L1 support. While Widevine DRM itself is free to license, manufacturers must undergo a certification process for implementation. Integrating Dolby Vision on Android usually incurs licensing fees (though the exact amount is undisclosed, the royalty cost for a TV is less than $3); Dolby Atmos also presents a cost for developers, which KHADAS should consider. Furthermore, the device requires improved game controller support. Finally, the complexity of the KHADAS platform and lack of a dedicated Android desktop UI pose challenges for developers, making the adaptation process to desktop monitors extremely difficult. For users seeking a seamless "plug-and-play" Android experience for high-quality streaming, audio, and gaming, the KHADAS Edge2 Pro falls short. A DEX-like environment offers a more polished solution, significantly outperforming alternatives like the Nvidia Shield and Blue Stacks, especially when using a high-end Samsung device. For some, the KHADAS's capabilities may suffice, but a DEX-like system offers a more complete and user-friendly experience.

Was great till it stopped working Support was horrible
The media could not be loaded. Used for 2 months before stopped working. Maybe a one off but pretty expensive for 2 months.Update added a video at request of seller very little support so just moved on at a loss. Keep in mind if it doesn’t work you are on your own. Best to look at alternative boards.

Powerful board with great potential but software still under development
Bought this SBC and not Pi4 because of the advertised specs which are by far much powerful (of course the price reflects this).Installed Ubuntu with no issues. Excellent.Connected Keyboard, Mouse and Monitor. Works just fine.Tried connecting a newly bought CSI camera. Nothing. According to seller this feature is still under development..Tried connecting a different camera using the micro HDMI port. Nothing. According to seller this feature is also under development.Basically you can only use a USB camera... Does not work for me (specific project).Seller took responsibility and promised a full refund (including shipping cost).Seller has also started maintaining a FAQ which is a nice touch.

As a fan of Khadas products this was underwhelming.
As far as SBCs go while the specs on paper sound nice it's largely a niche product when you could get more well rounded products for around the same price, for example the OS selection is pretty bland from a small selection of Linux distros, android, or a coreelec (TV box distro) a lot of the use cases I could have had for it were either not compatible, didn't work well. For the price not counting the necessary accessories (power, heat-sink) was not worth it despite the useful features like host-less flashing of the OS.
