Outstanding fit and features for price.
I waited to write this report till after my first full hiking trip (3-6 miles/hike multiples/day). For the price, you cant beat this hip pack. I used it in two modes hip carry only and with the addition of the overhead Y strap. The Y shoulder strap being the clear winner in comfort. The pack is big enough for a real day hiking including 2 water bottles, full lunch, emergency First Aid, and Swiss Army knife etc. Pack has the BEST strap system for jackets that I have ever used. The straps allow easy attachment of your jacket to the pack with minimal overhang. The pack also has front pockets on the hip supports - I used them for car keys and eye drops glasses cloth. The 3 point "Y" strap is awesome. However, its not padded - so likely not good for long hikes if you dont wear a shirt. The only negative is that the new common smaller width web hip strap size has shrunk vs several of my older bags, which allows for eventual slippage. There are several tricks on the internet for tie offs to avoid eventual slippage of the waste belt. I used the extra loop-through method - but I am sure other techniques will also work. Note - if you use the 3 point strap - this is not an issue - since the strap handles the added water bottle weight vs your hips only. The reason I know about the web size reduction is that I purchased (and returned) two other more expensive hiking hip packs before settling on this one. My plan is to cut off/sew the always included excess waist strap material - but since the pack has to fit so many sizes - this is not really a ding on the product. Bottom line, this pack checks all the boxes - especially in this price range. And it exceeded my expectations when you leverage the Y shoulder strap system.

Perfect day pack for insect collecting!
I originally purchased this because I do invertebrate surveys for conservation properties around the greater Houston area. I was tired of pulling my backpack off, digging for specimen cups or tongs and possibly losing the critter I'm trying to capture for photos. With this pack and it's shoulder straps, I'm able to take the weight off my back, disperse it around my lumbar and hip area and make it easily accessible. It also leaves room for me to carry my camera on it's shoulder straps and STILL have a camelback pack for hydration. I'm a literal pack mule and this gives me space to carry extra ON my back when needed. The accessibility at the small of my back allows me to carry cups, rulers, tongs, brushes, gloves, trash bags, ziplocks, two water bottles, first aid, my phone and the straps help situate everything comfortably. It came with an extra duffel bag style strap for the diagonal shoulder carry, but I don't see myself needing to use this. There are plenty of adjustable places to make it fit just about anyone. I wear a size 32 in mens, but being a woman, most waist packs want to sit on top of my hips, making things uncomfortable. this pack has the padded straps similar to what most large hiking packs have to make it a comfortable fit around my hips even when I have it loaded to the max. 10/10 would recommend for the day-time hiker, scientist, outdoor enthusiast or even bicyclists. light, breathable and holds a good bit. the straps on the outside let me tie a small raincoat or attach a carabiner too!

For the price, it does what it needs to do.0
Hey i purchased this pack and had no complaint. for the price it does what it needs to do. i use them in the wet dirty and rocky mountains for my dirt bike rides to hold extra stuff.Snacks/liquids phone and gopro stuff. BUT HOWEVER. Didn't realize till now. I was going to buy two more for some friends of mines as gifts. DID NOT come with any straps? Only with the waist. did not get the shoulder strap or backpack strap.... i would rate 5 stars if it came with it.

Terrific 5 star bag! Value with customizable fit and ample space
What this bag is not. It’s not a overnight or through hike bag. It’s a day pack. I purchased it as I rarely ever camp out anymore and don’t need a full size bag for day hikes. Backpacks are larger, heavier, hotter and don’t offer the organization I am seeking. With that out of the way, I purchased the BP Vision Pack to replace my Gregory 40l bag for day hikes. The look reminds me of a 1990’s version of NorthFace Waist bag I owned in many ways. The bag has 8 pockets: two small on the sides of the waist. 1, open on both ends, tucked into the lumbar (more of a sleeve). 1 main zippered compartment with an internal stretch divider and separate zippered section. 2 smaller zippered pockets and the 2 water bottle holders. The shoulder straps are lightweight. They are not going to withstand heavy abuse. I have considered possibly upgrading them- time will tell- but I also want the lighter weight and cooler option (temperature not look) afforded by this configuration. Finally I added a sternum strap which I bought through Amazon. I think this should be included by default and made the bag more comfortable. What love about the bag:1. Variety of carry options: waist bag, shoulder sling or waist bag with shoulder harness2. Size: As others have commented, the bag holds way more it appears it should3. Fit: I am 6’5” tall and 220 lbs, 34” waist. The bag fits me well and could easily accommodate larger waist sizes4. Organization: The large pocket contains the aforementioned internal divider and zippered pocket, the lumbar slip is great when paired with a zip lock or other bag to keep this from getting wet from sweat. The smaller waist pockets are sized for single use sized items, and the two smaller pockets, outside of the main pocket, are surprisingly larger than then appear5. Easily accessible water bottle holders6. Lightweight with ample storage7. Cooler option and better suited for day hikes or shorter versus frame backpackWhat could be better:1. Water bottle holders could be deeper, they can hold a Camelbak Chute. Also their positioning allows for easy access to your water bottles while wearing the bag. However due to the size of the bottles I’m using and the design of the pockets- it’s harder, but not impossible, to reinsert water bottles while wearing. I’m not deducting a star from this as I am using larger bottles and smaller ones would not be an issue2. The cinch strap not all that useful. Modified as has been suggested by others may be better. I don’t particularly need this space but I do find it useful and use it to hold the shoulder straps when I hang up my bag.3. I find wearing the bag, fully loaded without shoulder straps to be a bit uncomfortable. The bag tips away from my back when only worn with the waist straps. This may be due to the position of the waist straps on the bag, or possibly all the gear I have, a combination of or for some other reason. For me- this is informational only and doesn’t change my rating as I purchased this bag to use with the shoulder straps4. The center buckle of the shoulder straps, slightly, ever so slightly, brushes my back5. Inclusion of a sternum strapI strongly recommend this bag for most casual hikers and those not needing an overnight bag, maybe one night cowboy camping or with a hammock. It can also double as a good day pack with on vacation at the beach or even sight seeing. I’m considering another one to keep as my dad bag for the everyday carry required with a toddler.

This is a good size for short day hikes if you do not need extra gear.

Versatile
The pack confirms to my body and holds everything I need for a dayhike including a jacket. I have many daypacks and slings but this is my go-to for daily activities, travel and dayhikes. I have recommended it many times. I’ve had it about 6 months, still in great condition.
