They work well overall!
My wife uses the product mostly, I use it occasionally. She has a hearing issue and that is the only way she can hear the TV without making the walls shake. They work well for her. They also work well for me as I use them occasionally for listening while working in the kitchen or another room and I want to hear and seeing is not that important. We have used several pair of the same brand and model. The only weakness is for us the headset portion of the system tends to wear out after 1.5-2 years. Occasionally the sound stops in one side or the other or the headset looses it spring to hold on to your head, but overall I think we have gotten our monies worth from each pair we have had

I have owned 4 of these units over the past 6 years. I love their performance. I would give them 5 stars if Sony replaced the plastic stress points with metals.

Incompatible with Gran Turismo (and likely other games as well)
Have used the WH-RF400's for a couple of months and they work well except with Sony' Gran Turismo game. Specifically, sound momentarily cuts out during sustained, high pitched engine sounds. It does not occur with any other sound within Gran Turismo (e.g. background music) or any other source. Also, these replaced Sony MDR-IF245RK headphones which I'd used for years.Contacting Sony support, they advise "the headset dosnt support the audio design of the game". My theory is has to do with the compression/decompression method these headphones use in transmission from the base to the headphones. Specifically, Sony's manual describes that upon decompression, there is a cut-off to reduce noise, and I suspect this cut-off incorrectly eliminates certain sounds that are part of the audio signal. Notably, in their product description, Sony states; " "Noise Canceling - Noise-reducing technology is designed to keep the wireless signal free of interference from other electronic devices so you can enjoy your favorite film soundtrack or game with clear sound".
