Beautiful!
I cannot say enough about this kit. If you’re thinking about purchasing it, don’t hesitate! It shipped the same day we ordered and arrived in plenty of time for the funeral. The assembly was easy. At the funeral home, a gentleman told it was beautiful and well-constructed. It turned out he was a representative for a casket company. All of the funeral home employees and the guests at the funeral couldn’t say enough about how beautiful it was. Thank you so much for a wonderful product! My aunt always said she wanted a simple pine box and that’s what she got and it was beautiful. It brightened what was otherwise a difficult day. Thank you.

Great if you're not immortal!
I bought this for myself as I am very thrifty and can't see the point of spending a lot of money on something I will only use once, but then I got bitten by a vampire and I'm now immortal so I won't need it at all. It's a myth that we sleep in coffins. I much prefer to take my siesta in the big box my neighbor put out to recycle when they bought a new refrigerator (what kind of person gets rid of such an awesome box for heaven's sake?!). In any case, once I explained my predicament, the company was very accommodating and allowed me to return the kit. Hence the 5 stars. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone who hasn't been turned into a creature of the night.

Product as described
Five stars for product arriving as described. Only problem is I have no way of assembling it now that I'm dead. Recommend purchasing a week or so before death occurs so you have time for assembly.

Works Great
I made mine into a coffee table so that I can pop up and scare the sh*t out of grandma when she sits down to watch Jeopardy. Bonus, if she kicks the can, this thing will have a second use.

LOVE IT!!!
I refuse to give a mortuary thousands of dollars for a fancy box to bury me in. I ordered this casket kit and with only a little help from my husband, we put it together in no time. It really is easy to assemble, it's a great chest for linens, Christmas gifts, or anything else you want to store until you need it. I've convinced more than one of my friends to order one for themselves. And for the record, instead of paying a mortuary thousands and thousands of dollars for a head stone, go to Legacy Headstones. They do gorgeous headstones for $500, and that includes engraving!! Just make sure your cemetery allows you to bring your own and make sure you have the right thickness. Our cemetery only accepts 4" stones. My funeral is going to be as nice as any multi thousand dollar one but it will be done on a very tiny budget.
