If you aren't taking mushroom supplements, you probably should be... & these are the best I've tried so far.I love this product-- I have tried various different mushroom supplements, but Lifeshield Immune Support is my absolute favorite.These are gel-cap -- very easy for me to swallow (I have a lot of trouble with that). No odd flavors or smell.This supplement seems to really help prevent many of the asthma & allergy issues I have-- anything that helps me to breathe easier is a big plus!I also had my doctor comment that my blood pressure dropped over 20 points in about 4 weeks-- the only thing I had done differently was start taking these mushroom supplements.... Draw you own conclusions, but I am pleased.I have always heard that adding a variety of mushrooms to one's diet is a great health booster, but who has access to so many varieties-- especially on a daily basis? Not me, certainly-- I have no where to go wild 'shroom hunting nearby... this is a very helpful substitute for those of us who cannot get these fresh.So far, I have been pleased with all of the New Chapter products I have tried, but this is my favorite along with their Turmeric supplement. I have never had a quality issue with their products--- Nor any of the odd smells that some other herbal supplements can have...Fast shipping, well-packaged; no problems.I highly recommend :-)

These performed admirably this past winter. I was working extremely long hours under great stress, I know my body was weakened and vulnerable to illness. Yet through the entire time I was taking these immunity vitamins, despite being surrounded by sick co-workers and family members, I never fell ill. I only got sick a week or so after I ran out of the immunity supplement bcs I was too busy to take time to order more. I now have them on a subscription order, along with all my other supplements and vitamins from New Chapter. It's less expensive and it is a set-it-and-forget-it solution to having them on hand when you need them. The entire line of New Chapter products is very high quality and worth the cost. I'm sad there are only 5 starts to give within this review.

Mushrooms have been long studied for their immune boosting properties. New Chapter is a super high quality extract of key mushrooms like Reishi.

Mushrooms of certain varieties are recommended in Dr. Weil's book "8 Weeks to Optimum Health" along with Aspirin, Astralagus and Ginseng extract to name a few as your tonic helpers. Maitake, I know helps with Cancer and the others with adrenals (stress and fat causing glands to name a few things). Ginseng, Panax, is to help with severe stress. Those aside I take these Life Shield mushrooms with Astralagus and Ginseng (shown to have added 17 years to Japanese Lung Cancer patients lives after chemo) from the #1 book - Prescription for Nutrition Healing- available in your better health food stores, comprehensive, so helpful to me, buy one. Anyway these are highly touted, the specific mushrooms. I am overweight, not always, on certain meds I'm questioning, 57 year old female, formerly well read on this subject and Per genectics, post menapausal weight gain, and fatique, I am loosing weight again and healing,eating well and healing from former fears.
