Cute book with fun text
This book was in one of our first Amazon book box subscriptions. I'd never seen it, and initially wasn't too thrilled with it.After awhile it grew on me. There is pretty good rhythm to the text, and it lends itself to some dramatic reading (Mayday! Mayday! and Splashing Crashing Mighty Waves!). Our little girl tends to rock/dance along as I read.I like that the ship's captain is female.(A few issues...having lived near Long Island Sound, if a Nor'easter is coming, there's no way a family with a couple of kids would set out in a sailboat, or that the boats shown in the book would go out to rescue it.Second, the family (2 adults and 2 children) don't appear to be wearing life jackets, and the kids and the dog are just hanging out at the edge of the deck. I'm willing to ignore these, as it's a cute book.)The illustrations are relatively simple, and appeal to our toddler. I haven't yet tired of reading it (at least a couple of times a day for the past four months).

Mayday, mayday...big hit with toddler
Our 16 month old won Red Truck at the library during a summer reading program and it quickly became his favorite book. Naturally we wanted to expand his collection and purchased Blue Boat and Yellow Copter. He enjoys finding the Seagulls on each page that follow the boat. The amount of words on each page is perfect to keep a toddler's attention and will be less intimidating for a new reader when he gets there.

Not as good as red truck, but okay.
Red Truck was the first book in the series we bought and all three of my boys have LOVED it. This one is good, but not as much of a favorite. The plot is a bit weak and the rhymes aren't as well written. They don't stick in your head as well.

Perfect for 2 year old to start to recite
2 year old loves it. Nice rhythm, cute illustrations, she can yell along for blue boat to be the hero of the day! Got it as part of an Amazon box and again, something I never would have picked or found, but really enjoyed by both me and the kiddo.

You'll love Blue Boat
Trouble is brewing, but Blue Boat will save the day! When a quick nor’ easter comes up and threatens a sailboat and its crew, only one boat is rough enough and tough enough to do the job.My grandson loves this charming, action-packed story. And he especially loves Blue Boat. Highly recommended, along with the companion books Yellow Copter and Red Truck.

I enjoy the story
Red Truck and Blue Boat are favorites among the adults and toddlers in my life. I enjoy the story, illustrations, and rhyming scheme and so does my 2 year old audience.

Pages missing.
My son loves this book. I have the paper copy and wanted a board copy as he is destroying the pages. Was highly disappointed when I received the board book as his favorite page is not in the board book: "Seas are rough! Is Blue Boat rougher? Wind is tough! Is Blue Boat tougher?" "Help us, Blue Boat! Don't give up!". Not sure why this page is not included in the board book but my son is isn't too happy about it. This book would receive 5 stars if it weren't for this.
