Must be plugged in 31-47 inches above the floor!
I might return later and edit my review, however, we just received them. On the back of the package it states that the Repeller must be plugged in 80-120cm above the floor, which is approximately 31-47 inches above the floor! Most American electrical outlets are 4 inches from the floor or 10cm. The only sockets within the recommended range are located in the kitchen and bathroom. I wanted to put one in the garage, but only have lower electrical outlets in the garage. The description near the top of the purchase page states 30cm - almost 12 inches from the floor. Instructions at the middle of the purchase page state 20-90cm from the floor, which is 8-35 inches from the floor. The instructions are ambiguous at best and very confusing! Unfortunately, I only reviewed those instructions after I received the repellers or I might have purchased something else. I'm very disappointed. I'm wondering how others have dealt with this issue? Frustrated! After a week plugged into a kitchen outlet 41" above the floor , 6 feet horizontally from our ant problem, WE STILL HAVE ANTS!!!

Seems to work!
Using in our basement for a few spiders. In the first week we didn't really pay attention because we expected we might see a few spiders. After that, it was weeks before we saw one. We found one spider in the bathroom a few weeks after installing, so we moved one of the plug ins so it would better cover that area. Nothing since.I have to say, after 9 years in the same house, I can definitely tell that this has been effective.

Works great.
I must admit that I was a bit skeptical about the efficiency of these units, but four (4) months after installing them around my home, I haven't seen any pests (well, except for the In-laws :( ). Seriously, I'm free of flying and crawling insects, and the occasional field mouse. There's no odor or noise emitting from the units and they don't require any maintenance. Just plug them in around your home and enjoy living without pests.

It really helps.
It really helps. After installing it, we have not seen any rats in the attic. We are totally satisfied with it.
