NuFountain C15 CelSignal MAP Serum

Good product, arrived quickly. It is based on Magnesium Ascorbyl Phospate (MAP), a more stable vit C ester, whereas most Vit-C serums are based on L-ascorbic acid. Having used C-serums based on L-ascorbic acid I can say that L-AA based serums give you more glow and instant results but this worked pretty well too. I I'm using a BHA (salycilic acid) product morning and night and an AHA (glycolic acid) nightly and was frustrated with the requisite wait times in-between actives. L-AA based serums should be applied to near-bare skin and you are supposed to wait before you apply any other active over it . . . who has the time for that!? Juggling all the proper pH values across skin products can be tricky too! The Celsignal serum has a pH of around 5-5.5, about the pH of healthy skin. While I did have to wait a little for my BHA (pH 3.7) before applying the Celsignal I didn't need to wait for anything else; I could apply the Celsignal and immediately slap on my lotion and sunscreen. The beauty of MAP based serums is that you can apply things over it so quickly, it definitely cut down time on my routine. I suffered some nasty post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) in between bottles of this so I'm going to switch over to NuFountain's L-AA + Ferulic serum for a little bit because I think L-AA gives quicker, more potent results but that isn't a knock against MAP, you just have to be more mindful of its subtler effect. If you are using a Vit-C serum for primarily preventative purposes and not to lighten PIH I would recommend this (MAP) instead because its easier to work with; if you have a lot of PIH start with L-AA and then switch over to MAP. The only bad thing to say about it is that I dislike the level of Panthenol in the ingredients, I don't like the finish/texture. Otherwise: Good.

I think that this is a decently made product. The ingredients are quality, and they're present in concentrations that will actually do something. According to a customer service rep whom I emailed, the niacinamide is present in 5%; research shows that it is effective at concentrations between 1-5%. This is awesome because niacinamide stimulates your skin's production of ceramides, natural lipids that are a part of your skin's protective barrier. They also use Magnesium Ascorbyl Palmitate, a form of vitamin C that has been shown to be effective in anti-aging in concentrations above 5%. Lastly, Hyaluronic acid is one of my favorite ingredients because it pulls moisture from deeper layers of skin up to the surface.After using this serum for a couple months, the dark post-acne spots on my face have faded considerably, though I do attribute some of that progress to cheap ole' time! The serum is a bit tacky after application, which put me off at first because I don't like the feeling of leftover product on my skin. However, I emailed their customer service department and they said--in a very detailed, thoughtful response--that I can rinse off the product once it's dry without sacrificing any efficacy. Apparently the vitamin C absorbs into the skin within seconds and the niacinamide absorbs within a minute, so there's no need to keep it on longer than that.Note that when the serum arrives it should be a very light, translucent yellow. As it ages, that color will darken due to oxidation. I recommend using up all the product within three months because it will lose efficacy over time.

I loved CelSignal and I'm so said that it's discontinued. My skin doesn't react well with L-ascorbic Acid, so the CelSignal was the perfect choice for me and now that I need a new bottle, it's gone. Very, very sad.UPDATE: It's back! Just found out, already ordered a bottle, so happy that NuFountain listened to their customers!

Bought this based on reviews and price - am now on my 3rd bottle. Each bottle lasts about 1 month (I use it twice a day). My skin is now fabulous. I have had so many compliment recently. It has shrunk my pores and cleaned out my blackheads. I use it after washing my face in the morning and before sunscreen. At night I mix it with Oil of Olay regenerist moisturizing serum. Skin is smooth and fresh looking.

I did not know what to expect when I purchased this product. I had heard good things about NuFountain on a beauty board and decided to take a chance. Well, it paid off for me. While very reasonably priced, this product has improved the look of my skin. I'm in my late 30s with some sun damage and mild rosacea. This product has been very soothing on my sensitive skin. Hyperpigmentation has noticeably lightened, redness diminished, and the overall tone has evened out and brightened. The formula is a bit watery, but once you get used to using it, this is not a big deal at all. Customer service has also been excellent in their responsiveness to a question and their super fast shipping. I would have to say that I highly recommend this product!

Repeat buyer here, I've on my third bottle. The ingredients are impeccable and the price is extraordinary. It's a water-like texture that sinks in immediately, and I have found it to be fantastic for brightening the skin and keeping my skin tone very even. Vitamin C is also one of the only two ingredients proven scientifically to be beneficial to the aging of skin, so this is an excellent product for how important it is to a good skin care regime.

The ingredients are amazing, but unfortunately it caused me to break out. But I guess that to be expected since my skin is quite sensitive and reacts to most things :( Oh well, I guess my quest continues for my perfect vitamin c serum.

I keep ordering this because it is very effective. It works equally well for my slightly oily forehead and the rest of my face which is on the dry side. It evens out my skin, it moisturises, it reduces discolourations and helps keep acne and wrinkles at bay. It works very well in combination with another retinol product I use. It is very mild and I have never experienced any irritation at all. I order from the UK and I have never experienced any issues whatsoever with my orders.
