Kotap TUH-1010 Finished Size Ultra Heavy-Duty 8 oz/16-mil Poly Tarp, 10' x 10', Reversible Silver/White

I bought this tarp as a back for our existing homemade deck awning that I bought from the same supplier. The white underside is bright and clean and the top part, being silver in colour reflects the excessive heat in summer. The attachment gussets are very strong and easily stand up to strong winds and heavy rain without sagging between the wooden frame that uses 2X4 spaced 4 feet apart. In the fall we roll the tarp up for winter storage.This makes our deck comfortable and allows us to enjoy the sound of rain without getting wet.

This is a very heavy duty tarp and I expect the actual tarp to hold up very well. I am using it to cover my truck camper through the winter. While the tarp seems great and the corner grommets and very strong, I am not too thrilled with the side grommets, a few of them started to tear away the first time I used the tarp. I tie my tarp down essentially like shoelaces so all grommets are being used, so the strain is fairly minimal on each one overall, so in my case I think this won't be much of a problem. But for others who may only be tying off to a few grommets this could lead to major tearing. Overall for the price I'm pretty happy with it.

We bought this tarp to replace a thin white tarp that we were using as a projector movie screen inside of our gazebo. We needed something very white and very light-blocking. This tarp is PERFECT. Perfect size, heavy duty, nice bright white. Only problem was that it came with a dark brown quarter-sized stain on the white side... it took some elbow grease and a Mr.Clean magic eraser, but we got it mostly out. It’s only noticeable if you really look for it.

Even though the description clearly states the finished size is 8' x 10', both tarps i purchased were 7'-10" x 9'-10". I would have given a lower rating based on that, but the 7'-10" width was more suitable for my needs.

This tarp is worth it if you want something that won't flap in the wind, as long as you tie it down every 5 or 6 feet. Its heavyweight material stays put even in high winds and provides much better protection than a cheap tarp. Definitely would buy another again if I need.
