Aurocin Plus Ear Cleansing Solution PS, 16 Ounce Blue

If I don't keep up with cleaning the ears of my cocker spaniel they get easily infected. I clean them twice a week. Her vet recommended this product. He said it was especially important to put the dog on her side, fill up the ear canal with the solution and gently massage the base of the ear. After a few moments release her and let her shake her head. It is the shaking that helps flush and clean the ear. So who wants dog ear spatter? My solution is to first place her on a very large (king size) old sheet. When it's shaking time I cover her with the part of the sheet she is not laying on and allow her to move and shake. The spatter is caught by the sheet. It dries quickly and I can wash the sheet when needed.

I remember the first time our veterinarian showed me how much dirt was inside my dog's ears, it didn't look good. Ever since, we've used this to rinse out the ears of our two dogs. They don't mind it and it's certainly better than letting that filth build up in there. Our vet recommends this brand, it's cheaper to buy it here than from her. Recommended.

This cleaner seems to do the job, but the smell is quite strong. I have a huuuuuge issue with products' scents, for myself and my furbabies. Scent is a lot of times a deciding factor on whether I will continue to use, or even purchase a product. Unfortunately, we will not be able to keep using this cleansing solution, but it has nothing to do with its efficacy. My dog experienced no negative effects from this product, and it was easy enough to use..despite her fighting me to get it in there : )Overall, though it wasn't the product for us, I definitely wouldn't say anything negative about it. Maybe if they come out with a non-scented version, we'll be able to purchase again.

My vet sold me on this for my labs. They get several earsfull of this for a day or two after swimming and they shake it out. No more ear problems.

My dog suffers from bad ear infections, this product is really good. It also smells really good and does not leave an oily mess over his ears

DO NOT USE ON YOUR DOGThis product contains a super strong cheap fragrance that knocks human out just by one sniff. I was coughing and had a hard time breathing after applying it on my dog. The fragrance cannot be washed off by any regular soap. The only way to get the stupid smell off my fingers after I touched the dog is to apply a lot of olive oil and then wash with a lot of dish soap.Dogs are much more sensitive to smells than humans. Imagine how many friends your dog would lose by wearing this stench on him or her!
