Buy it, if you’re even remotely considering it
This is a good quality product in every way. It’s very comfortable, much better than an air mattress would be. It really is different from an air mattress. It feels like you’re sleeping on a foam mattress topper. The only negative thing I can say about it, is it does take considerable effort to compress it back down. The best way to do it, is to do it on a table or some surface that’s easy for you to stand while you press down on it and roll it up. After you get used to it, it’s not a big deal at all, it is definitely worth a little bit of trouble.

High end product
i would definitely say that this is the REI type of high end product. i was skeptical at first because of the less reviews that i saw here on amazon but later on i ended up buying one and unboxing and doing the thing and testing it out was able to find this was GREAT! and going on camping with this and spending night on it was worth the money. Just the concern was, it was little difficult to deflate and put it back in its cover since it took time to deflate or you would have to forceullly squeeze to take the air out otherwise. AWESOME!!!!

Great comfort
I am new to camping. My first time out a few weeks ago was really rough because I did not have this mattress. I only had one of those fold up egg crate like pads and my sleeping bag and I was miserable. I purchased this. It’s a good idea to let itself inflate the first time in your home before being out at the campsite. Very easy to use. The bag that it comes in is used as an airbag to give your mattress just a little bit more firmness. But it does self inflate. No pumping with your foot. No battery operated air pump is needed. It is very very comfortable. I took it out again for another camp out and it was amazing.

Give it time to inflate! No issues getting back in bag!
We needed an extra mattress or a pad for our 7 year old granddaughter to sleep when visiting. This was delivered the day of her arrival. After it arrived, I opened the valve and nothing. I waited the 30" as recommended, still absolutely nothing. I thought GREAT, now I have nothing. I had read the reviews and figured I was the one who got a lemon that would not inflate as I had read and was a bit concerned. I tried blowing into the valve but that wasn't going to work. It's like the vinyl, or whatever materiel it's made of, was stuck together on the inside of the pad and with the summer heat and shipping, it was just glued together and wouldn't inflate. I waited 3 hours, nothing, 5 hours, nothing. What was I to do? They didn't arrive until midnight (plane was delayed) so I had a little time. I got our two very thick exercise mats and used this pad on top of them. I put twin fitted sheet on the whole thing and set my granddaughter up a cute little camping pad. She's 7 so I thought, no problem. I'll return the darn thing after they leave. I had to have something for her to sleep on. In the AM, I did not check the pad but later that day when straightening up I noticed the pad was completely full EVEN with the valve open. I had left it open in hopes some air would get into the pad. I closed up the valve, removed my exercise pads and remade the bed with XL twin fitted sheet (sheet fits twin and XL twin). It was perfect! worked well. It's very comfortable and inflated to the 4" it said it would. Even our 18 year old granddaughter took turns sleeping on it and said it was very comfortable. It's long enough for a taller person. I would recommend if you have trouble inflating, give it a day or so in cool air-condition room before sending it back. Her sleeping on it probably help loosen the vinyl up inside and it started inflating. The company should try and fix that problem but if you are taking camping, get it inflated/deflated a few days before taking it on the road or you'll be frustrated.TO DEFLATE: deflating was fairly easy too. I read the person's tips on deflating and it was spot on. Don't think you can just roll it up. My husband did it with ease and he's 68 with arthritis. You can do it by yourself by opening the valve, starting at opposite end and rolling it up as tight as possible. When you have done that, anywhere in the process you can close the valve, unroll it and start again. Laying your body on it as you roll is a must to get max air out. My husband did it fairly quickly and even when he had completely rolled it, he closed the valve, unrolled it, opened the valve and started re-rolling. He'd used this technique before because he used to have something similar when he went camping. It fit back in the bag with lots of room to spare, easy peasy. Don't forget to close the valve when complete. Think of getting the last bit of toothpaste out of your tube...lol...We will keep it in the closet inside the house. If kept out in the garage where temps rise, I definitely believe it will be a nightmare to reopen if not ruined entirely. YES, I would recommend this pad when you need an extra bed and just don't have the room to store a blow up mattress.

Excited to camp in comfort
I have put off trying tent camping with our family. I really wanted a RV, but right now a tent is in the cards. I really wanted something lower to the ground for the kids and I find sleeping on air mattresses not that comfortable. I have inflated and deflated this a few times. I have been able to deflate it myself and roll it and fit it back into its bag no problem. I bought the tiny inflater/deflator someone else suggested but I didn’t find I needed it. I found it very comfortable when testing out for side sleeping. Looking forward to trying out in the near future on our first trip!

Comfiest Floor Mattress
Easily the most comfortable I've been sleeping on the ground while camping. Its pretty easy to inflate once you get the hang of it, i just worry about what will happen if the pump bag gets a tear. Was able to sleep on my side still super comfrotable both nights of camping, its made of a really tough material so I'd be surprised if i managed to pop it, and even if it DID spring a leak i think the extra padding in it would not wake you up.The only draw back is that its a little difficult to roll back up, felt like i was fighting it. still the best camping mat i've ever used and i sent everyone the link as soon as our trip was over

Comfortable camping
I got this for my daughter and her toddlers for when we camp and she said it's very comfortable. It was a bit of a struggle to repack but not unreasonably so. I'm planning on getting another.

Easy to Inflate and comfortable
After much research, I decided to purchase this item to replace the pad that came with my Tepui rooftop tent. It was relatively easy to inflate and I left it for a few days to fully regain it's shape as it was quite compressed for shipping. It did make the 4 inch thickness at the corners, but not on the sides, likely due to pressure from the internal foam. It is very easy to adjust the firmness with the pump/bag system, and I was very pleased with the comfort after trying it out on the living room floor. As stated by others, it is quite hard to deflate and get back in the bag. After much folding and sitting on it, I did manage to get it compressed enough to get it back in the bag with some effort. It would be nice if it came with an adaptor to allow you to use a pump to deflate it more completely. I will be looking for, or making some form of adaptor to fit my 12 volt pump so I can pump the air out of it for storage in the off season. For now it will live in the RT as a replacement for the very hard stock matrass that came with the RT.
