The aluminum dies are ill suited for recycling zest soap bars, the 4" aluminum sides are too thin to take the stress required to reform soap cakes. Better if the die walls were twice as thick and made of steel also perhaps 3/4" taller. First noticed more soap leaking from the sides while pressed, noted walls were bowing. Work around installed a c-clamp at the mid section. Expect a short life span of limited use. I pressed about 4 small bars of soap. A steel reinforcement box would extend die life. It came with a cannabis themed zip up case, guess it was made for pot!

Well, game changer..........if you were stuffing bags like me with your finger then your gonna love this. Half of the mess and a better yield. I packed my normal bag and a prepress. I got 20% like normal and this thing got 22%. Without all the work! I'm done with the stuffing!

Gets stuck after pressing have to pry it apart and makes aluminum shavings. Had to cut the rim off entire inner block so I could press it all the way through.

I was using this in a 20 ton shop press. it worked fine a couple time and then the sides bulged out and it was done. latterly made it for 3 uses. i liked the design when i got it but, i have bought cheaper ones in the past that were also aluminum and the same dimensions and they continue to hold up. this one was just crap. save your money.

I can't use it. It doesn't come apart. I don't want to try to pry it and damage it beyond use, but it's not usable already. I've tried freezing it, boiling it, Dawn soap, alcohol...Is there a trick I'm missing?Update:SELLER CONTACTED ME AND IS SENDING A REPLACEMENT UNIT.Updated to 5 stars for quality of service.
