I like this product is all natural. However do not love the vanilla scent. This does separate while on the shelf. I have to mix it before use but that’s no problem. It’s a great exfoliating product regardless of the smell. Larger grains than tree hut for comparison

Scent: Bulgarian RoseLet me start out by saying that this is not a higher end body scrub. But when I considered everything about this product in conjunction with each other, I believe that this rates a full 5 star rating.There's a good texture that is gritty enough to actually slough away dead skin cells and other debris. But because this is so loaded with some sort of body oil, it's not one of those uncomfortable dry grits. You can easily see the load of oil when you first open the jar. Because of that, it's a good idea to mix it around in the jar a little bit with your finger. No need to get it fully laced in though. Though it's an oil, it must be mixed with something else because it's not a heavy messy oil. I'm tempted to say that it's a lighter weight oil, but you can see by the ingredient listing that there's also other things in the mix. All sorts of good natural ingredients. Also, it's made in the USA which, to me, is a bonus.This body scrub works well and moisturizes the skin without making it feel too oily or greasy. A very good balance.Also the Bulgarian Rose smells fresh. That's a problem I often have with any sort of Bulgarian Rose product. So many of them are old and rancid that they smell like boiled cabbage. This is fresh and smells just the way it's supposed to smell. You get a nice whiff of fresh rose in your tub.

This sugar scrub is AMAZING! I bought it at my local health food store and it blew me away. I've been slumming it like a savage, wondering why the loofahs and scrubbing gloves I've used all my life leave me so scratched up from their coarseness. And when I tried this for the first time, it's like the difference between night and day. The texture of the sugar is absolutely perfect. It gives a very deep and satisfying scrubbed down feeling, but not at all irritated or scratched up. My skin feels SO soft and wonderful and that horrible taut, itchy, winter-y feeling is gone. Thank you to the kind souls in the reviews who warned about the oil separating. I was very gentle when opening it so it didn't spray me, and I just mixed it up with a butter knife. Highly recommend this gem!

I love a good body scrub, but I'm quite particular about the texture of them. The sugar crystals in this body scrub are very fine so it provides a very gentle exfoliation and the variety of oils including jojoba, sweet almond, and kukui create a luxurious and heavy cloak of moisture that I would appreciate in the winter, but probably not in warmer weather. The combination of rich body oils also might create a slippery tub, so I would recommend washing the tub afterwards to prevent accidents. Or if you're like me, I save the more oil-based scrubs for my pedicures where I use a separate foot bath. The Bulgarian rose scent is quite strong; I love roses so this smelled beautiful to me but if you are sensitive to scents, I would stay away.
