Fasco 70623861 Rheem Furnace Draft Inducer/Exhaust Vent Venter Motor Replacement

I woke up Wednesday morning to my furnace making a racket. After removing the front panels on the furnace, I found that the noise was coming from this fan part. I went on Amazon to see if I could find a replacement part, I studied the fan to see if I thought I could get it out and replace it, and I checked a couple of YouTube videos. After deciding that I thought I could do it myself, I ordered this part and paid for expedited shipping. It was supposed to arrive the following Tuesday (would have been several days later without the expedited shipping), but it arrived today (Friday), four days ahead of schedule. I got the old fan out and put this one in within about 15 minutes.So, after fewer than 3 days without heat on the main level of our house, and at the expense of $300 (which included the expedited shipping), we had heat again. I figure I saved myself at least a few hundred dollars, and I got it fixed several days ahead of what I'm guessing it would have taken if we had called someone. I was very pleased to find this part, and it works very well!For any interested in details of the removal and replacement, this fan is held in by a total of 5 screws, four of which go into the body of the furnace and one is on the plastic outlet tube. There is a wiring harness and a separate grounding wire that have to be disconnected and then reconnected with the new part. There's also a small rubber tube that I believe is some kind of vacuum tube that has to be disconnected and then reconnected. It was a, to me, surprisingly easy removal and replacement job. If you do replace this part yourself, and as with any power equipment, be sure to turn off the power to the furnace before you do anything!

Arrived 2 days sooner than indicated. Very simple and easy 15 minute job to replace. Worked just great out of the box and have had no issues since installing.

I have never had gas heat, or worked on a gas furnace. Our new house has gas heat, and the furnace wouldn't turn on for heat but would blow the AC. I was able to diagnose the inducer motor being out, and local HVAC repairmen were quoting $100 diagnostic, $500 parts, $500-600 labor. Local HVAC store were quoting $500 for the inducer with on returns accepted, 4-5 business days to ship.Not only did we get a generous return policy from Unlimited Electric Motor Supply, but the price was half of that quoted by the local stores & the shipping was the same. HOWEVER, Unlimited Electric Motor Supply didn't take the entire 4-5 business days shipping, WE RECEIVED IT OVERNIGHT!We put it in place the next day, furnace is running great. Instead of 1-2 weeks sitting next to a space heater in mid-December, it was 1 day. Can not over-emphasize how highly we recommend this seller.

Lots of money for a plastic fan with a motor. It did fit exactly and runs quiet so no complaints.

It would just at the previous unit did, but louder. It does push more air though, so that's probably why. Would buy again, but hope that I don't have to!
