Great Tool
I bought this tool for projects around the house. After using the laser, it has become one of my favorite tools. I have used it to measure floor flatness (both under the house in the crawl space and inside the house), establish plumb lines for determining placement of recess lighting, and will be using it for determining ground elevations along the side of my house to correct drainage problems. The reason I selected the OMMO laser was because of the price and the accessories that were provided with the tool. The remote control is a very worthwhile accessory. Glancing into the laser, even momentarily seemed to bother my eyes. Therefore the remote was very handy for turning off the laser when I wasn't specifically evaluating a measurement and also for turning the laser back on when I was ready to perform a measurement further away from the laser tool. Using the remote for turning the laser on and off helps avoid possibly moving the laser once it is setup in position. The other accessory that I used was the adjustable table. The adjustable table was very helpful when adjusting the elevation of the laser to a horizontal "benchmark" line on one the the posts in the crawl space under my house. The laser is reasonable bright. I had no problems seeing the laser lines inside my house. Outside the house on a cloudy day, I could see the line (unaided, i.e., no laser detector) approximately 20 to 25 feet away from the laser. (When I measure my ground elevations I will wait for a slightly darker day.)The laser seemed reasonably accurate when I performed a basic level test. I performed the level test by noting the elevation of the horizontal laser line on a wall in my house approximately 15 to 20 feet away from the laser. I then turned the laser off with the switch to lock the pendulum and rotated the laser 180 degrees. I then turned the laser back on and observed that the elevation of the horizontal line matched the previous observation.I had a couple of minor criticisms that didn't take away from the overall rating of the tool. First the instructions could have been written more clearly, especially for turning on the laser. To turn the laser on for normal use, simply slide the switch located on the side of the laser to the on position. This also unlocks the pendulum in the laser to provide accurate horizontal and vertical lines. The "Slash (Forced Start Button)" is used when one wants angled lines (non-horizontal or non-vertical). I also observed that the base of the laser (or feet) didn't accurately line up with the laser lines. I tried to use a square to line up the laser with a wall, but quickly realized that technique was inaccurate and that I needed use reference marks (using marks on painters tape) on opposing walls to properly line up the laser.Overall, I think this is a great tool.

Happy At $120...Delighted At 85!
I'm just a DIYer but I value accuracy & precision. I bought this in 2020 for $129 and have been very happy with it. At the current (11-10-2022) price of $85 it seems like a great bargain (though I haven't done any research/ comparisons since my purchase. There are some poor/ mediocre aspects :--I've found that the accompanying mounting/ positioning accessories are of no use to me ; the quality/ precision really aren't there, but that doesn't surprise me at this price-point ; eliminating them and lowering the price might make sense, though ;--others have commented about the annoying surplus of beeping, but I can deal with it for my purposes (it's possible that some users don't realize that some beeping occurs when the batteries need recharging) ; but I like the idea of simply having the lines blink when it's too far off level to auto-correct ;--I saw a criticism of the proprietary battery which may be valid but I don't know how that compares to other brands/ models, either back in 2020 or now ; I can see how something more widely used/ available could be a benefit ;--though I don't use it often, the remote control for turning the laser on & off can be surprisingly helpful to avoid misaligning the laser by the pressure on the unit's buttons after having positioned the lines ;--I found that having a tripod is a necessity ; I actually purchased a used one at Goodwill for ~ $5, I think (ymmv) ;--I'm also feeling that I'd like to have protective goggles of the appropriate wavelength (520nm), but I'm going to have to contact OMMO or do some internet searching, as I didn't notice one recommended by OMMO for this laser ; I'm pretty cautious about accidentally having the laser in my eyes as I set it up or work around it (at 70 yrs old I try to take *somewhat* fewer risks!) ;--I really like the case that it came with ; I probably wouldn't have paid more to have it but I'm glad that I got it ; I tend to skimp on some things like this (or a tripod or goggles...) when it would be beneficial to have them ;I don't know if this is the unit for you, but it's worked well and been very helpful for me, so I'm very happy with it, even at the price I paid.

Worth the price
Worked great, not quite bright enough to use outside.

Five stars, for the device but especially for the customer service.
You wouldn't think a company half a world away would be very helpful or personal, but in this case you'd be wrong. My Ommo 8-way Laser level is awesome, showing a sharp green line across the structure of my 41-ft patio cover construction project. I used the vertical laser to transfer the fascia line from my roof down to the ground, and the horizontal laser to draw a line across four posts so I could cut them all to the same height, and then verify that they were all level. Worked great! However, shortly after the return period ended, it developed a problem (the vertical laser wouldn't fully align to the unit).I wrote to the manufacturer ([email protected]) with the issue to see if there was an adjustment I could make. They wrote back within a day with something to try, but unfortunately it didn't work. So, I asked for another idea, and even though the item was past the Amazon 30-day return window, they issued me a full refund! Wow. Amazing. Totally unexpected, and much appreciated. So what did I do then? I bought the 12-way for just a few dollars more. And wow, is that an amazing machine! See my review there, too.One little tip for users of this or any similar laser level: This unit will auto-level if it's placed within 3 degrees of level (you can't put this on a serious tilt and expect it to auto-level). You'll hear a beeping sound if it can't level itself. So, when you order this, buy yourself a little tiny circular "bullseye" level for a couple of dollars and use some double-sided to stick it to the top. Then, when you're setting it up, get a rough level with the bubble, and then let the laser do its magic.
