These very vibrant snails are great for adding some color and decoration to your aquarium, but they also serve some very useful purposes. They clean algae off of glass, plants, and decorations, they eat hair algae, and they keep your substrate clean and the correct color. They are totally safe with any fish, shrimp, or plants, and are completely peaceful. Hilarious if you have dwarf shrimp like I do - they love to ride around on the snails! Red Ramshorn snail shells range from a bright pink to a sharp-looking maroon, but most are closer toward the pink side of the spectrum. The snails usually ship as pea sized snails, but may sometimes be smaller. However, even the smallest snail will be adult breeding size within 2 months. RECOMMENDED TANK PARAMETERS: - PH level range: 7.0 and up - Temperature range: 60 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit - Water type: Soft to hard - Additional notes: Ramshorn snails are not picky at all about their water parameters, and they tend to reproduce like crazy in almost any conditions. If you run into problems with snail overpopulation, a few Assassin Snails will quickly take care of the problem. Ramshorn snails eat algae, waste, and invertebrate pellets or fish food. Snails are very sensitive to copper, so watch out for copper if you use tap water in your tank.

Didn't make it alive
Horrible smell when I opened the package. I was able to salvage 4 of the snails, the rest were either dead already or broke apart when I picked them up their shells were so brittle. Update Saturday 11/11, the 4 salvaged snails didn't make it through the night. To be fair, the vendor tried very hard to package the snails so they would survive the shipment, and I understand things happen. I don't know if they froze or were cooked in the heat.

Snails came on time and active
Well I was scared of the snails getting tortured by the fish some were small so I guarded them. All arrived alive and started moving up and down the side of the tank. Waited about two hours before they all went to the ground exploring had a few stragglers but I think they will be okay I hope. I have tetra and glass fish in the aquarium and a pair of guppies saw the guppies gun for the slightly smaller ones chased them away and fed them to distract them till they hid away from the surface top. In all these snails are too curious for their own good sometimes lol. But they're cute and one even crawled onto my finger as I tried to redirect them down. Good work getting them here alive. Many extras in the pack too. Worthy purchase.

Voracious Algae Eaters
I was having a serious algae overgrowth problem. I had low expectations, yet within a week these little buggers had cleaned it all up. Very pleased.I had expected them to arrive in some sort of container of water. Interestingly, though, they arrived wrapped in a wet paper towel in a small plastic condiment container. The advantage being that the package was very small and light, and the snails were kept healthy. 12 of the 14 sent were alive and happy, exceeding the 10+ that was advertised.

I received a nice color assortment and a good bit more than 10 snails. They all arrived alive and active! Although I raise them to feed to my dwarf puffer fish, I really do enjoy watching them in their tank. Not even a day after they arrived they were already laying eggs all over the tank and multiplying which I was very pleased with. They are beautiful healthy snails!

Sad packaging
Kinda feel bad abt how they showed up in this little box with hews paper inside a small container that you'd get from a restraunt, for sauce ... with wet paper towel and some sticks .. but I put them in water to see witch ones were dead before putting them in the tank and there was actually 12!!! All where alive and well a few red some dark some red and whit bit no exotic colors like the description said . But they ate well and cute

Brown snails only
So... the picture is not what you are going to get, are you going to get snails? Yes. Are they going to be mulit-coloured? No. They are alive! I was just disapointed that they are the brown snails that I was trying to avoid
