Another Vintage Hit!
I am going to start by saying that I cheered out loud when I found out that Beyond the Page picked up this series after it got cancelled from Berkley. Victoria Hamilton is one of my favorite authors and I love both her Vintage Kitchen series as well as her Merry Muffin Series! I am happy to see the seamless transition from Berkley to Beyond the Page and to see that Victoria has outdone herself on the latest Vintage Kitchen book, Leave It to Cleaver, book 6 in the series. This book truly has it all, two bodies, two weddings, a jump to the past, adorable canine and feline companions, romance, suspense and bittersweet tears. I must say this book pulled at my heart strings and made my tear up quite a few times. The story is so well written and developed. I was sucked along right from the start and read it quicker than most books I pick up. I very much enjoyed the time jumps between the past and the present and the glimpses we got of various characters that were key pins of the story. Once again the characters are the star of this series, they are all so well developed and real. This is by far the best book in the series to-date, which is saying something because I have been hooked on this series from the start...how can you not love Jaymie, her vintage kitchen addiction and band of merry family and friends? I know I do! I can't wait for the next!

Really interesting storyline and fun ending for long time readers.
The Leighton girls are cleaning out a home for auction. Becca knew the family who lived there long ago, she was friends with the girl who lived there the summer she turned 16 aka the year Jaiyme was born. The girl disappeared that fall. Now the whole family was gone and no relatives or records to find them. It being this series, that disappearance is revealed in short order to have been a murder when they find the girl's body in the basement. A few days later, another missing teen is found at the bottom of the river. Told by flashbacks to that summer and fall by the many characters who knew them as well as current memories of those times, we learn a lot about these relationships and being a teenager in a small town. Really interesting storyline and fun ending for long time readers.

Who dunnit?
This was a much anticipated book and worth the wait. Jaymie has to solve a mystery from 1984 when two teenaged girls disappeared. The murderer was a complete surprise. What I loved about this book was how it went back in time. It was like looking back into my own high school days. I really enjoyed how Ms. Hamilton wove the past and the present. I would recommend this series to anyone who loves vintage treasures and history.

Love this series!
I enjoyed this entry into the Vintage Kitchen series. It starts with a surprise from Jakob and picks up from there. In between work, volunteering, and other planning and family things, Jaymie pokes around into the murder of 2 teens back when she was a baby. It was an interesting look into Becca and friends' teen life and how it helped shape Jaymie's present. Definitely recommended.

Enjoyable Read
I thought this was a great mystery book with other added interests -- sister's weddings, family relationships, etc. It kept you guessing up to the end, if and how two murders occurring years ago were connected, and who were the killer/killers? It also brings to mind all of the ups and downs of our teenage years and what unknown hardships some have to silently endure. Very well done!

This was the best of the series
This was the best of the series. It's so nice for a man to be worthy of love. I cried at the wedding. Knowing they will be truly married is a special at a time with all the charges of sexual transgression . I was afraid she would split up with him like he others. But he was a wonderful father and promises to be a great husband.

Awesome!
I really enjoyed this latest Vintage Kitchen Mystery. It went back and forth between the present and the year 1984. I found it to be very nostalgic. Awesome book and series! I also can't wait to try the recipe at the end of the book! Happy reading, friends!

A cold case solved
Great read centered around a 30 year old cold case that gave Jamie insight into her sister’s teen years and her place in the family as an infant born at that critical time of her sister Becca’s life. Murder solved as the wedding plans for both sisters progressed and ended with enough to make a reader want to read the next installment

Disappointing and lacklustre
Disappointing. The going back and forth in time was not as smooth as I expected. The storyline was good but I didn't get to feel any sort of attachment to the characters and the plot fizzled out. Sorry not for me and I won't be reading any more by this author. The story was altogether very lacklustre.
