I love the paper but the block is Damaged.
I got this large pad because I love the paper quality but the block is separated and the corner is bent.

Pretty Nice Watercolor Paper!
For the past 8 years or so I have been dabbling in watercolor painting and I have used really cheap papers and the most expensive papers. Of course, now I only will even try paper that is 100% cotton and regularly use the "gold standard" in this country, which is Arches. I watched a review of this paper and decided to give it a whirl. I am pleasantly surprised at how well this paper performs. To me it is very similar to Arches. It doesn't buckle even with a lot of water and the paints disperse and flow beautifully. No problem with tape sticking or masking fluid removal. I'm happy with this paper and will probably purchase it again. I like this size and I have no problem at all removing it from the block. Worth a try for any watercolorist. Not giving up on my regular, but this is really good too!

It’s a watercolor at dream to work on
The pad is a dream to work with. I almost abandoned my newly purchased schminke set cos I was not happy with the way it behaved on my arteza watercolor pad. But this pad changed that narrative. The paint flows, colors remain vibrant. It’s just an absolute joy to paint on.Despite using the wet on wet technique you can see the paper didn’t warp at all. It received my artist tape well another flaw with the arteza pad. You do need to be careful when taking off a sheet as I am more comfortable painting on sheets to move them around than the entire block but taking it off might require a palette knife to slide within the gap provided and not your fingers to prevent damaging the paper.Would definitely buy more of this alongside my arches hot press

Nice to paint on but damaged easily
I'm working my way through all the brands of 100% cotton paper and so far, this is the only one to tear when lifting painter's tape and pill with soft rubbing of a mistake. (I have not had this issue with Arches, Hahnemuhle, Paul Rubens, or Baohong.) It is very nice to paint on however.

My new favorite!
I use it for professional work and it is my favorite paper to work with. It holds up just as well if not better then arches in certain categories like the amount of lifting and abusive quarter techniques and the colors on the paper look amazing. This is a great paper if your trying to find a different type of watercolor paper!

Great painting surface, terrible if masking
I really enjoy painting on this paper. It soaks up plenty of water, stays dry, and has just the right amount of texture for my liking. Then I peeled off the masking tape and it took a whole layer of paper with it. This is artist-grade masking tape and is the same one I've used on my other watercolor paper, which is a (relatively) cheap block from BLICK. Before putting the tape down I stuck it to my jeans a few times so that it wouldn't be as sticky, I used a hairdryer when removing it, but it still pulled up a full layer of paper. If anyone has been successful in masking this I'd love to know the trick. So I'm giving it 3 stars. If you paint edge-to-edge this is a fantastic paper for the price. But if you like to mask off the edges like I do, it's basically unusable unless I can figure out some other trick. Disappointing.

Acts a little like hot press paper
In my opinion it acts like hot press paper, able to almost get back to white paper when lifting paint. I tend to layer my paint so this took me a little time to get used to but I’m enjoying it now.

Wrong size pad.
My main problem with this specific item is that I got 9x12 blocks instead of 10x14. Twice. The paper is great for wet techniques but does not like tape at all even after ensuring it is not too sticky.
