Nalani Truly All-Natural, Organic Citrus Spice Deodorant For Women and Men in 2.65oz Stick- Citrus Spice

I decided to go "green" for my deodorant, trying the Nani Naturals Citrus Spice Organic deodorant, the Underarmed Natural aluminum free deodorant, and the Ursa Major Hoppin' deodorant - and unfortunately was not really happy with this product. This was by far the nicest smelling of the three I tried...though my wife said it smelled more like bug spray, and while the stick style isn't normally my type of deodorant I still gave it a try.For simple daylong reduction of odor - none of these replace my standby aluminum based deodorants..but I found this one fell about midway between the other two. Having used/tested this product for about 90 days, in varying conditions, I find that under a normal day of "office" work, this product lasts for about 6 hours, not quite long enough for a full day before the deodorant smell started losing it's strength - and if I'm on a field day - this would give me about 5 hours before I start noticing the funk...I've not had any side affects - and while the lackluster performance would normally make me very reluctant to purchase this again...I'm on the fence and may try a different smell to see if another would work longer.

UPDATE: (+3 stars, new rating is now 4-stars). The company contacted me immediately, apologized, and sent a new deodorant stick. It arrived several days later. I have been testing it for about one week now. It does last all day, and keeps you pretty dry. It does a good job. But, I don't care for the scent of the stick. It smells strange. It smells like an odd mixture of orange peels and a weird spice type of item. It doesn't smell very good. I wish I had ordered a different, more pleasant, deodorant stick, with a different scent like lavender. Other than the scent, it's a good stick of deodorant that does what it's supposed to do, which is keep you dry and neutralize bad body odor.Job well done McLei Innovations in your quick response, and the quick way that you rectified the issue. My husband and I have slooowly been replacing our commercial household and body products with natural ones after an infertility diagnosis in 2014. My husband was more reluctant than I was to switch everything over, but finally, the ONE thing he had left to replace was his toxic deodorant! He told me I had one chance to find him a natural deodorant he liked, so I searched long and hard for a deodorant with no baking soda that doubled as an antiperspirant AND had a masculine scent, and Nalani was what I found! My husband has a physically laborious job with long hours, and this lasts all day for him! No sweat stains on his uniform :) He and I both enjoy the scent (like cloves with a hint of orange), and I love that all his body products are FINALLY nontoxic! I highly recommend this brand and scent to all the guys out there trying to be more conscious about what goes in and on their body. (Oh, and a followup to the infertility bit: we're expecting our third naturally conceived child, due in March!)

It's a little expensive, but I'm willing to forgive the price because of how great it smells. ;) I've used some natural deodorant in the past and it wasn't that great, so as I was almost out of my last stick, I decided to give this stuff a try, and I absolutely love it! The scent reminds me of chai tea/chai latte, and at some points in the day, it reminds me of cinnamon sticks. I know this is probably TMI, but I haven't showered in about 38 hours and this deodorant is still doing its job (although if you get super close to my armpit, you can smell the odor a little bit). Anyway, this stuff is great! Try it out! :)***UPDATED REVIEW*** (7/22/18)I loved this stuff, but I don't know if they changed the ingredients or if I just got a bad batch, but the last 4 sticks I ordered all smell like Crayons/wax, and it doesn't do any good fighting off odor like the last 2 sticks did. I'm sad because I really enjoyed the previous scent, which was similar to cinnamon sticks.

I ordered this one based on the choice of fragrance...thought it might be a nice change from my usual, more feminine scent, or perhaps if I liked it a lot and it worked, my husband might be interested...the fragrance is pleasant enough. smells a bit like something else I can't place, like a household product.I did not feel that it combatted wetness in the way that another natural deodorant I use is able to do---and yes, of course, I know this is not an anti-perpirant, but I don't wear those based on ingredients, so I have realistic expectations.Worse though, was that on a day where I did sweat a bit more than usual, not from working out, but just from situations experienced in the day, I started smelling an odd smell in the afternoon...and realized it was me!With my other natural deodorant, that does not happen.So---I will not be ordering this again and will stick to my other one.

The first 5 days using this product were wonderful. I did not sweat like I typically do and there was no smell whatsoever. As the next 8-10 days went on, I still wasn't sweating much (which was great) but I noticed an increasingly worse smell. They say there is a detox period, but I couldn't handle another day of what transpired. I'm sure it probably works for some, but it didn't me.

I was very impressed by this item! I typically use gel deodorant and wanted to try something different for a change. This item struck my interest and was happy with it overall. I would like to recommend improving the rim around the bar. It is too sharp, something thinner or smooth edges would make it better as you reach the end. There is a considerable amount left over.

Looking for THE best, this is it. The key to success with ANY all natural deodorant is to detox your underarms, reapply as needed, and apply with care because it doesn't roll on like synthetic brands. This is one of the best I've ever had. Bravo for such an amazing product. I live on a small farm, I work and I sweat. I am an incredibly active person. Again, on a particularly hot humid day, I have to reapply after any profuse sweating, but it works magically(literally) and wonderfully.**Update May 2019 I am still using this product every day. (a full year). I still swear by it! Stick with it, you won't regret it.

I had originally given this item a not-so-good review and received a personalized email from the sender (email had a genuine tone) I was given a full refund and given tips on “how to” use it in effort to get the most optimal results. I was new to the natural deodorant approach BUT... upon following their recommendation (use ACV prior to applying this deo for a few days) I finally fell in love with this product! I can’t find my old review but I (nos) highly recommend this item! I will be purchasing a new deodorant and will probably become a loyal customer. :) good product and very honest and helpful customer service!

So I gotta say that switching to all natural deodorant is was one of the best decisions I have made. I actually sweat a lot less and no more pains/irritation in my arm pits. This is a solid deodorant and does what it's supposed to do. One con is it is a bit ruff putting it on, almost like wax.

I really wanted to like this, but it smells awful. I know that a similar natural formula works to keep me dry & unsmelly (a friend gave me some homemade with similar ingredients, but different fragrance oils). Still giving three stars because this might work well for someone else, but the fragrance mixture here is, for me, really the pits.

at first it smelt bad like it was rancid, but when I used it a few times it smelt better and lasted longer. don't know if it has a film on the top or what.

This works and doesn't stain fabric. The Citrus Spice smells like cloves with a hint of orange. I would not get this unless you really like how cloves smell. The odor is so strong that I thought my armpits were going to go numb the first time I applied it.

I'm actually quite amazed. I switched to a natural deodorant for the first time with this product and I can for sure say this product works. It works as good or better than normal deodorant and smells good. I wouldn't say it smells amazing, but it's got a nice scent to it. Lasts about twice as long or longer than regular deodorant which is a nice added benefit. You have to rub it on your arm pit a little harder than what you're used to, but it does apply evenly and well enough. Will absolutely be purchasing more.

Love the fresh citrusy smell. Also love that it is made of high quality, natural vegan ingredients. It works with my sensitive skin.But, it took several uses before the product softened. It was very hard and sharp around the edges, and was difficult to apply. Also, the deo lasts no more than four hours (as opposed to other deos, such as Secret Outlast, Donna Karan Cashmere Mist or Nature's Gate that last all day). So, I had to carry it with me all the time.
