I am an expert on ashtrays. This is high quality material in a very good design. It is a thing of beauty to behold. The cigs will not fall in or out because of the CONCAVE surface shape of ashtray. This is a feature VERY rare in METAL ashtrays. The 1 notch it has for a cig I used a file to enlarge. 20 second job. Very easy to do, no problemo This is the only ashtray I use in my car. No more smelling something burning and seeing smoke billow in your car while you frantically search for the cig butt.

OK, but would like it better if the lid sealed and stayed on by itself. It would help keep the smell under control and then you could toss it into your glove compartment.
