EDIT: almost set my car on fire. I'm taking the review from 4 stars to 1 star because the wire for the backup camera started smoking and melted (either from being way too thin, or some internal short, since the 16 AWG wire I used to extend the camera power and ground were unaffected).The screen itself was easy to install, and is fairly responsive (on par with other Android Auto-capable OEM head units that I have used). Pairing was easy, and I'm able to use wireless Android Auto without issues. Google Maps is responsive, audio from Spotify is clear (I'm using the FM transmitter feature). However, I do have a few issues with this product that caused me to take off one star:1. When the unit is starting up, the FM transmitter takes a while (~30 seconds) to kick in. Before it kicks in, my car radio will just output static, which can be pretty annoying. Once the unit is fully booted up, the static is suppressed by the device. I wish there were a way to prioritize the FM transmitter feature during the bootup process.2. Once your phone is connected/setup for Android Auto, when you turn the screen on and it connects to your phone, there will be a pop-up on screen that you need to touch to select your phone and start Android Auto. If you dismiss this pop-up the first time (or let it time out/disappear on its own), you will not be able to enter Android Auto until you either reboot the device or toggle the bluetooth connection on your phone. Tapping the Android Auto icon on the screen's home page just brings up set-up directions, it doesn't open Android Auto itself. This is annoying since when the pop-up comes up at the start of my drive, I'm also often reversing my car or otherwise distracted and unable to touch the button.

Because of the spotty reviews l wasn’t sure what to expect at first. But this unit works very well for Apple CarPlay, screen is sharp and UI responsive, Aux port sound quality is excellent, FM transmitter is clear and has frequencies in 0.1 MHz steps (as it should).Before this I already tried another similar but cheaper product (one with sun guard around upper and sides of screen) and was disappointed due a few problems:1. Poor sound quality from Aux port2. Badly designed FM transmitter which has weak signal and only support frequencies in 0.5 Mhz steps (makes it pretty useless at least in the US since round number frequencies are not tunable by car radios)3. Slow processor with laggy UI even without animation on.This unit solved all the above issues. Seller is responsive to questions too.

The description is not true. The screen quality is acceptable but the resolution is not 1080p.Wired mode carplay does not workEdit:I stand corrected, looks like this may be 1080p. Wired mode still does not work and screen does not go to sleep when not in use so upping rating from 2 to 3. Overall better than I initially thought.

It really works as advertised. I've only spent a day with this so far, but it seems like it does what it’s meant to do perfectly well! Great size screen and responsive. Several ways to connect to audio, namely via cable, Bluetooth, or by switching on an FM transmitter function which broadcasts the audio to the radio on the chosen frequency. I've tried both Bluetooth and the FM option, and both worked flawlessly. Highly recommended from what I can tell so far. This is so easy to install and works great for not having to install a whole new system.I am very happy with this upgrade and recommend this device for anyone in a situation like mine. I love this !!!

Whelp… It was a gamble that I won! Really impressed with the screen brightness during the day. It’s way clearer than the picture shown and what the reviews show as well. Connecting to Airplay was a sinch. Aux sounds great! And being able to use the multi band EQ made my stereo even better!!The phone calls are really clear even with a more than arms length from the unit and mouth and A/C on medium.When the unit boots it does take a good 30 seconds to figure out who it is, what it is, and why… but once it does it connects back to my phone right away.I recommend calibrating the touch screen. It’s a touch off, but not bad. One thing I wish is that the wires were on the right side of the unit and not the left for cleanliness or the ability to rotate the screen in the settings. But for $200?! I can’t complain. Time will tell how long it lasts but so far, it’s smooth, and working as it would on a new car. I hope this helps out if you’re wanting to purchase.Also, I didn’t have a chance to plug in the rearview camera. It’s kinda a pain for my car so… I don’t have a say on that one.

Was ok when it worked. The touchscreen was decent but not great. Was a real pain to get to work with wireless car play. Overall even if it didn't stop working it was pretty terrible.

I ordered this as it states it supports wireless Apple CarPlay and it does not. All it does is show how to connect wirelessly but refuses to connect the screen never changes just shows the instructions. And when you tap the CarPlay button it just goes back to the instructions. Also once hooked up there is multiple wires. There is no way to have this item with a nice clean streamline look.

Love this product very much! Let my car have navigation and carplay! Simple installation does not require me to find a master outside to install!
