Awesome!
Bought one for the house, the in-laws, the cottage, and a gift for siblings. Once you get the groves going, it is sooo much easier and SAFER than bristle brushes!!!!

Stop using the brush!
I've had more than one person tell me to stop using a brush on my grill; you've probably heard the stories too, of wires from a brush getting stuck on a grill and ending up in the food you're grilling. Yikes. A friend of mine suggested this wood cleaning tool and I have to say I haven't looked back since. It does a great job of cleaning the gunk from the grates on the grill. The heat of grill will notch the leading edge of the wedge so that it develops a custom fit to your grill and that makes it even more effective. Basically is a shockingly simple solution that works very well. So, stop using the wire brush and give this a try.

Your best bet for grill grate cleaning
Have been using the first one of these I purchased 5+ years ago and it still is working great. Stopped using the stainless wire brushes completely due to the wires coming off and floating around the inside the grill thus leaving you with the constant worry of getting one of those wires in your food and ingesting it. I have 3 of these total now - one for each grill / grate. They mold / burn in best when the grill is as hot as you can get it. Will take 3 or so good uses - helps to flip it over also - until you get some decent grooves in it to do a nice job of cleaning your grill grate.

It works on the flat style cast iron grates.
I have cast iron grates and was concerned this wasn't going to work since the grates are more flat than round. But it works perfectly! I love that it cleans without the potential for metal bristles falling off. It's not the end all be all of cleaning tools. You will need to scrub your grill with something more abrasive to actually clean it. This just helps cleanup between picking up and putting down new meat.Once done, I use a paper towel to wipe off the buildup on the tips. When I go to store it, I wipe it all down with a very light coat of mineral oil. Same stuff you use on wood cutting boards. It already comes with a very light coating of mineral oil and the grill burns off anything it comes in contact with. For what it's worth, the store that has a giant yellow smiley face (***mart) has this same exact tool in store if you needed it immediately. Same price too.

Works good once broken in
Once you get the grooves burned in it, it does a great job getting the gristle off the grates.

Best grill cleaning product I have ever used or purchased. Very durable and clean. Does not leave those little metal brush filaments.

So far so good
First of all, if you're one of those who want to keep your grill as clean as the day you purchased it, then this is not the tool for you, and frankly, I don't know what is. But if you understand that BBQ grills aren't suppose to be "white glove" clean; they're seasoned, and you're simply knocking off stuck-on food, then you'll be happy with this product. After a few used, it's molded itself to the shape of your grates, and with a few passes you're grill will be ready for cooking. My only complaint is that they're kinda pricey (for what it is, and in comparison to a wire brush), but if it holds up well, I'll be happy.
