The extra leg support with non slip material makes this bath usable on any flat surface. The built in hook allows the bath to be hung for storage or on the shower head for drying. Use with caution. Hook trapped and pinched baby's arm.
I would like to give zero stars. We purchased this tub about a year ago for our newly expected grand babies. This past holiday our ten-month-old grandson reached forward grasping the front of the tub when his hand slipped through the hook (used to hang tub up when not in use). He was pushing down and so his hand slipped through fast and easily all the way past his elbow. His upper arm (bicep area) became wedged, pinched and entrapped. The action pulled him forward and down towards the water. He was wet, slippery, and screaming with pain. It took both his mother and myself to get him out of the situation. One of us held him up above the water while the other worked to push his arm up and out. The hook left a welt, scratch, and bruise on baby's upper arm. It was very frightening. We were glad that two adults were present to unwedge his arm. We wrote to the company asking that they redesign the hook or at the very least put a warning on the product. Now when using the tub we stuff a towel into the hook.

Love the tub
I'm in love with this tub. Quality, al lil bigger then a baby tub maybe same size. Love how it collapses and hangs. So glad I bought this instead of prince lionheart collapsible and boon. Inly downfall slippery but easily fixed putting in baby size tub slip mat or slip stick ems. Find and buy those from Amazon. My daughters first tub was a pun tub but grew out of that. That's a great starter tub too and available on amazon but I bought my from a pricey baby store but that was before I became an Amazonian. I have bought some pretty cool baby stuff from here. Thank you Amazon offering financing with your store card. Makes it more affordable for me to purchase higher end quality products that I will use with my next baby, giveaway, or consign. Great baby tub with both form AND function! No regrets on this purchase!
I checked out and read reviews on numerous different types of baby tubs for the purchase for my first baby and I'm so glad I went with the Karibu folding bath! Some people had questions about the measurements. For reference, the dimensions are 31 1/2" long, 18" wide, and 9" high in it's ready to use position, 3" high when folded down. The fact that it folds down and has an included hook in the top part of the frame so it can be hung on the rod behind the shower head is great for people with limited space and the tub is super cute too - the fact that it comes in orange, my favorite color, was an extra bonus - win! A lot of baby tubs are much more expensive like the similar Boon Naked collapsible baby tub. The Boon can't be hung up to dry like the Karibu however, and is much smaller while Karibu is definitely large enough for a young toddler. Now for a very small infant who can't sit or hold their head up yet, in order to use the Karibu, one needs to purchase a baby tub insert of some kind. I bought the PRI infant bath seat which is molded to perfectly hold and support an infant in the correct position: PRI Infant Bath Seat (White) . It was less than $20 and perfectly fits inside the Karibu. The PRI infant seat even has suction cups on the bottom and is very stable and never moves inside the Karibu both with and without water added. I find this type of seat insert more stable than those baby sling types and they are much more versatile as they can be used in conjunction with a baby tub like the Karibu as well as independently in a regular bath tub, shower, or even in a sink, if one's sink is long enough. There are tons of other infant cradling bath seats like the much more expensive Puj Tub, but the PRI bath seat as an insert has worked out perfectly (see included photo of my baby in PRI bath seat inside the Karibu tub. For size reference my baby is big. He's 6 months old, 21 lbs. and 28" long in the picture)The only thing I would change about the Karibu is that when the stopper plug cap is pulled up, not quite all of the water drains out - one must tip it over so the last remaining 1/2" will flow out, but that's not that big a deal, I'm just quibbling. In fact, if you hang the tub up on the shower head after each bath you will automatically pour the remaining water out each time by default. I'm just lazy and since we have 3 bathrooms, I usually just always keep the Karibu open out and ready in the tub of the hall bathroom adjacent to the nursery, hence the fact I wished it drained perfectly so I wouldn't have to turn it over to pour out the last bit of water (as I mentioned I can be lazy!). I actually removed the Karibu bath from the tub in the hall bathroom and took it into the master walk in shower the other day so I could save time and bathe with the baby and it worked out perfectly in there too! The Karibu even has two built in recesses on the top part of the frame which are perfect for holding baby wash and shampoo or bath toys . That came in handy in the shower as opposed to using the Karibu inside a regular bath tub where one can just use the tub corner shelves to hold baby bath products.I find the Karibu's rubberized accordion type sides easy to push out and fold flat and unlike some other reviewers, I've never had a problem with the stability of the legs; the tub feels very durable and stable to me and has never moved when the baby is in it when it's been in the bathtub or the shower. Some people mentioned that the inside of the tub is slippery for a baby but since my 6 month old baby is still using his Karibu tub with the PRI infant bath seat insert, I can't comment on that, but figured if that does seem to be a problem when he's big enough to start using the tub without the insert, I'd just get some cute grippy bath tub stickers to put in the bottom. The bottom of the tub is rigid plastic so tub stickers should stick to them fine - easy fix. Even though my baby is big (95% in length) I can see him being able to use the Karibu tub for a long time, plus it's so cute, I'm sure I can find some other uses for it down the road once he's outgrown it - like a cute cooler to fill with ice and cold drinks at a backyard BBQ for instance. Both the Karibu and the PRI insert that I bought were together less than many other baby tubs (when I bought it, it was only $39.99), I consider it a great buy!

Almost perfect toddler tub
I looked for a tub for my 20-month old son for a while. He was so big for his baby tub, but our bathtub is giant, so it didn't work to have him in there. I found that there aren't many toddler tubs out there, mostly baby tubs. This tub is great. It's nice and spacious for him and folds up so small and we hang it on the shower curtain bar. Takes up no space in our little bathroom that we share with him. My son went from crying when he had to get in the bath to crying when he has to get out. So bathtime is much more pleasant for all of us now.My only complaint is that the bottom of the tub is pretty slippery. I feel like for $50 they could have put some grippy stuff on the bottom. Now I have to by a separate mat, which is a little annoying. Everything else is great though.

I will have to review again when baby is older
The product is exactly as described. It is a great space saver. However, for us it does not work well as a newborn-2 mo olds baby tub. We put it in the big tub where we have space and It's hard to hold him in it. Once we put him in and I put it at an incline since he can't sit yet and I must've done something wrong because it collapsed and he ended up choking on water. I tried once more and it happened again. I will try when he is bigger.

Wow. This is a great item for toddlers who are too big for an infant bath. I read that others had problems with slipperiness, so I used a non-slippery mat from the first use. It fits my 30 lb youngster really well - lots of room to move around, can fill it deep or keep it shallow. I expect to use it for another year or two. Fits very well inside my shower - we don't have a standard tub so I have no idea how it fits in there.

What a fabulous concept, and beautifully executed.
I purchased this because my one year old grandson was visiting for the holidays, along with 15 other family members, and I wanted him to not have to share a tub with anyone. This amazing folding, lightweight, not so tiny tub did the trick. It gave him enough room to play and splash, cleaned up easily, and hung on the shower curtain rod to keep it out of the way of other blathers. My son and daughter-in-law ran out to buy one to take home.
