Money well spent!

I didn’t need it after all. But it was shipped for free and I was charged to return. So I’m keeping it. Maybe my nephews will need it one day. There is room to work actual problems on the book so that is a plus.

I used this WORKBOOK book in conjunction with Basic Math & Pre-Algebra for Dummies, and I am glad I did. They work fairly well together, although there are some oddities and the chapters don't line up quite as neatly as I would have preferred (i.e. not all chapters in the Basic Math & Pre-Algebra book have a corresponding chapter here).As others have mentioned, there are a couple solution errors such as #17 on page 85, which shows a correct diagram, but the answer in bold does not match and is incorrect. I will say that any issues I came across did not cause a significant issue as I felt that the instructions were clear enough that I was able to spot the difference between my error, and a rare error in the book. I would not let that stop you from buying this book.The last two chapters in this book provide no problems for the reader and seem out-of-place in a workbook. Other than that I enjoyed this book and I found it helpful!

Says for dummies but is college graduate material

This workbook has helped me brush up and remember some basic and not so basic math skills that I had forgotten. As a 45 year old returning to college, I did not want to take remedial math classes. ( I also struggled with the subject in highschool), I found the content easy to follow and practice problems challenging. I would recommend for students of any age.

This is a good book for teaching basic math concepts. It explains them in a very easy to understand format without making you feel, well, like a dummy. The author was fantastic. I was impressed. The reason for the 4 stars is because an entire answer section is missing from the book. Yes, I know the answer keys follow each chapter and they aren't in the back of the book. So while grading my 8th grade homeschooling child (who is using this book as a review/breakdown explanations), I had to stop and do every problem for the entire chapter to make sure she was correct. That wasn't fun while teaching two other grade levels plus juggling a baby. I'm not a lazy teach. But I am a busy one. Otherwise, I love this book and it works well to give her the foundations she needs to succeed in Pre-Algebra and Algebra this year.

I purchased this book because it’s been many many many years since I’ve been in school and I wanted to test high on my math test for entry Into college for nursing. It really did help a lot. I’m a very slow learner and math was always my worst subject (I’m very very bad at math) this book made it easy to understand and it gives you several pages of practice. I’m doing math problems that I never thought I would be able to do. Just to give you an idea... I didn’t know how to divide before getting this book ( NM public schools are horrible) and now I’m doing algebra 1 and 2. I definitely recommend
