QuietcoolRF Switch with Timer and Speed Control

This is an add on remote if you already have the RF module installed and have at least one remote. This will not work if you don't have the RF module. If you don't already have at least one remote that looks like this then this will not work. If you already have at least one and want an additional one then this is exactly what you need.You will have to climb up into the attic and hit the button on the base module to sync up this new remote, just like you did with the original remote. That sucks but there is really no other way to set it up so that's a known inconvenience. It's more than made up for by having a second wireless remote! My fan is installed in the center of my house (~4,200 sq ft) and it works from anywhere on the first or second floor. Haven't tried it from the basement, no need to.If you are installing a Quiet Cool for the first time you NEED the RF remote. Buying the module and remote (not this one, this is a second remote and does not include the module) is so worth it. Saves fishing wires in the wall and gives you the option to add extra remotes for easier operation. The fan is a huge money saver in climates where it gets cooler outside but is still hot inside. Here in Michigan we don't run the air in late summer/early fall and it's perfect inside in the evening. Pulls tons of cooler outdoor air inside very quickly when the house is hot inside from being shut up all day while we are gone.

Bought a second remote unit. It doesn't work. It blinks, so I don't think it's the battery. Maybe the signal is not finding the hub. The manual doesn't cover this well. I called them: "mailbox is full." I'll update if it gets fixed. I am most annoyed by the help line being unavailable.

Much easier than the old wi-fi app

I ordered this switch And a whole house vent fan. switch came right away fan took 35 day to deliver. Then I find out switch will not work without a receiver and that comes only as a kit! it has been over 30 days and this 65$ switch is not returnable. I have contacted QuietCool only to be told You can have two switches! NOT RETURNABLE and NOT HAPPY!

Second unit ordered and bot were not operating correctly.Maybe it me- but don't thinks so, they are so simple to operate. I have one that came with mys fan purchase and it works super. Just don't understand??

Really loving my new Whole House Fan but it's the wireless controls that really make it awesome. I love the ability to set the timer and choose my speed from anywhere in the house. My house is really long and while I have the fan on the far end, I leave this controller on my nightstand and can adjust it easily while I'm sleeping. With the bedroom window open there's a cool breeze through my entire house all night long. Well done quiet cool!
