Excellent puzzle! Hopefully will hold up.
My dog loves puzzles and this one has been providing a great outlet for her energy. We have been putting her kibble in it for meal times and she has to work on it for a while to get it out. I'm a little concerned about its durability in the long run as my terrier mix is pretty hard on toys and it already has a few bite and scratch marks. That said, we have been putting it away when not in use so hopefully it will last a decent amount of time.

500 stars!!!
I love my dog as much as life itself. I spoil her with the joys and comforts with many toys that I either make for her or give to her. And, I've purchased numerous dog toys for her over the past 11 years. The Treat Maze Interactive Game toy is, by far, THE BEST TOY SHE HAS USED!!! She just loves it. She never is bored with it. She loves the different challenges it gives her when I put different shapes and sizes of dry dog food inside of it. She uses it inside, outside and even loves to flip it down the carpeted stairs and getting her treats along the way! Never once did she have the desire to chew it and was instantly challenged with how to get her treats out of it. Sometimes she flips it with her nose, sometimes she paws it to spin it, sometimes she paws it to rock it back and forth to get her treats out. This toy is so well balanced. It's not loud on hard surfaced floors. And, the size of it is just perfect to store in the house. What's funny is that when my dog doesn't seem to be 'in the mood' to eat her food that doesn't include a treat (lol), she will instantly turn into the mood to eat it if I take it from her dog bowl and put it in this toy. She turns happy, challenged and looks forward to getting her nutrition! As I do with any new toy, I introduced her to it by letting her smell it and getting used to it's noise (when the treats are inside) and how it flips/spins. Then I put a treat on the floor next to it. Then I took her paw, pressed it on the toy to show her how to press/flip/move it. And,within 2 tries, she was totally on her own and having a blast! Only once did she try to pick it up with her mouth (not to chew it though) because she was trying to bring it to me to fill up again!!! But, she was instantly told 'NO' and has never again tried to pick it up or chew on it again. Once she learned, she understood.I'd give this item treat maze 500 stars if I could. Again, of all the dog toys I've bought, this is my #1 choice. I should have reviewed this much earlier than I did. I wish I would have learned about this toy years ago!

Just get something else!
I am VERY disappointed in this item. For a $20 dog toy, you would think that it would be a quality item. NO, IT IS NOT.First of all, my dog likes chewing on things. (What dog doesn't?!) And this CANNOT stand up to even the smallest bite. The dog picks up the toy where the openings are and carries it over to wherever she wants to play with it--just from picking it up, there are teeth marks in the plastic. She started chewing on it once (for TWO SECONDS) and now there are HUGE dents in it.Second of all, if you have a dog that can use it's paws to hold something, your dog WILL be able to get this open. About 2 minutes into her first time using it, she had the top halfway off.Luckily, my dog is very smart. I told her not to chew on it/pry it open and showed her how to tip it back and forth with her paw to get the food out. She caught on pretty quick, but if I don't sit there and watch her play with it, she will go back to chewing it/prying it open. We use this for a change of pace once in a while when we have time to supervise her while getting her dinner out of it, and we have to keep it in the closet with her food because if we leave it out, it would be destroyed.Overall, if this were a $5 or $7 toy, I wouldn't be surprised at the low quality of this item. However, I wasted $20 on something that would have been a single use toy if I hadn't luckily been standing there while the dog was playing with it the first time. Invest your money in something more durable that doesn't require supervision!

Love this thing
Our 13 month old, petite sized (50lb), female German Shorthaired Pointer is nothing short of a notoriously talented, indiscriminately motivated, straight up SERIAL TOY MURDERER with an inclination towards complete toy dismemberment and hiding the evidence of said toy related crime.... She has been unable or unwilling (we never know) to destroy this thing, she loves it.It is noisy when you fill it with yum noms, but no more than one of those little rollercoaster ball cat toys. The shell is hard plastic, but is bounce cracking-proof so far. My GSP literally uses her nose like a soccer shoe and flips toys down our hardwood stairs, but this thing didn't break. The outter ring and the disc in the middle of the top and bottom are a soft silicone/rubber that doesn't pick up lint and is very easy on our wood floors. At first she tried to peel the soft sections off to get at the food, but after showing her that spinning it and flipping it over is more fun and rewarding, she never tried to peel it apart again. It is a bit of a mess to fill is you load one side, flip, load the other side—but it takes her a good deal of time to actually empty it so that doesn't bother me personally. Watching her determination to get the last morsel she hears rolling around inside it is hilarious to me.I would definitely not put anything soft or mushy into it because you can't take it apart for cleaning. I run water through every opening and then submerge it in a full sink with some lemon slices (antibacterial), and finally rinse it again on full blast before propping it up to dry out. You have to spin it every once in a while to drain trapped pockets of water, but it dries just fine.If it broke, I would buy another one. My dog gets mad at it, abuses it, pounces on it, buries it under blankets and flips it end over end down our entire hallway and forms a vendetta against it like it's holding out on her on occassion. It holds her attention and she is happy to play for breakfast, I couldn't be happier. It's like having a coffee and a show in the morning.

My dogs favorite and only toy
I recently got a rescue dog and very sadly she doesn't know how to play. fetch, squeaky balls etc etc don't make any sense to her. However after a lot of trial and error we discovered she loves dried sausage and now loves (took a little persuading) Pooch and Mutt little biscuits treats. She gets 7 slim slices of the sausage and 10 biscuit treats in each side and off she goes. She loves this, the treats play a part, but, as she's fussy about eating she only gets it after her dinner so she's already eaten and is the opposite of a greedy dog. She prefers the sausage but will pause part way and scoop up the little biscuit trail she's left then goes back to try and get more sausage.I've also got the wobbly kong which was a complete fail, I bought this on a whim as it was available for £3.99 and I'm so glad I did, I would never have risked it full price as I have so much stuff she isn't interested in/doesn't get.I'm so glad she's got a toy, she's only 1.5yrs old and she deserves some fun.

Interactive fun with your pet.
This was a Christmas present for my dogs and they loved it from the start. I loaded it with fish treats and placed it on the floor. My oldest dog Shiloh pounced on it and it shot across the kitchen floor spilling treats. Well, that was it for my dogs, their curiosity was fired and they spent hours leaping on it and knocking it across the room waiting for it to spill a treat. So funny to watch. I don't leave it on the floor, just allow them to play for about 1/2 hr at first with you there and then remove it and introduce it again the following day. This keeps them interested in it each time the toy comes out, you have their full attention for quite a while.

Very good value toy
I'm really impressed with this toy. It's inexpensive at under £7, although I'm not I would have purchased it at full price. I have a lazy 2 year old rescue greyhound. She had little or no experience of toys and games prior to being adopted, and it can take a bit of coaching for her to 'get' any toy. Initially I put a quarter of her meal of dry kibble in the maze and she very quickly understood how to get it out after I showed her by tapping, pressing, nudging and flipping it with my hand. She went on to copy with her nose and paws and carried it around in her mouth. However, she lost interest after about 5 minutes, when it still contained kibble. I just tried her with it again today but instead of just kibble I added in some small dry liver training treats, and big crumbs of cheddar. I made sure she saw me put it all in, both sides (there are 2 holes, one on either side, and staggered exit holes around the edge of the 'flying saucer') and gave her a taste to pique her interest. Again I did a brief demo and then she was away, and kept at it until it was completely empty, then carried it to her bed and fell fast asleep. My dog clearly needs sufficiently high value tasty treats to use play with this properly, which is a very greyhound-y way to be! I think it's worth it though to fulfil her need to work and forage. It has cleaned up well in the sink, and despite being carried around and lightly chomped it hasn't sustained any damage. Our dog is very gentle though, and I'm sure it could be damaged by a determined or frustrated dog.

Good quality but not enough engagement
Good quality build. A clever idea, but my dog is not interested. I have bought a couple of other puzzle toys from this manufacturer before. My dog loved them both so ordered this one. I gave 4 stars as it is well made and works as described (becase I used it to show the dog treats were inside) It missed full marks as my dog just did not get it and so did not engage. I think if the top was clear plastic so he could see there were treats inside he would play with it. Check out some of this companies other products as they are fun for the dog.

very Disappointed in this
Very disappointed in this. I bought it for our Lab so he would have something to enjoy and amuse him while we were out. But watched him after I had put some treats and bits of cut up carrot which he loves and with in 20 minutes he had chewed through some of the blue outer rim and we had to take it away as was afraid that her would be swallowing the pieces of plastic and was VERY glad we watched him with it first before leaving him with it on his own!!!!I would advise anyone not to buy it.WE will continue to just fill the Kong rubber round toy with treats as it is unchewable and unbreakful....Im just sad that I have spent £9.99 on a toy that is unsafe for out Lab :o( !!
