Our children were raised in the airplane community. Their first flights were at 5 & 8 days old. Camping trips were via carseats in airplanes, all over the PNW. With a new grandchild, it was the perfect teether for a 4 month old whose Dad and mother both pilot their own plane now and had him airborne at 8 days. The clever packaging adds to the fun. Yes it's a bit pricier than some other teethers, but the new grandchild loves top gumming those tailfins and the cute nose up front! This is a very unique teether that’s quite a bit more specialized than some. Most I’m seeing now are made of silicone, whereas some of the older ones are made of rubber. This particular teether, which can double as a toy, is made of 100% rubber. There are all kinds of certifications that come along with this particular one, which any parent or caregiver can appreciate.It does have a squeaker, so taking this one in the bath probably wouldn’t be recommended. Like the silicone ones I have, they can be sterilized in a steamer or wiped down with a soapy water solution. These are painted by hand so colors and details may vary a bit. This teething plane is made of rubber. It does have a disclaimer on the package that cautions those with rubber allergies. My little guy did not have any sort of reaction to it but I do think it’s fair to mention. Plus the ones that are using it are going to be younger so one might not even be aware of an allergy yet.The airplane is the rubber material so it’s easier to hold and carry. The different wings make it baby chew and hold friendly. Technically it is easy to sanitize and clean. But because it has the squeaky feature, it does have the single hole in the airplane. Because of this I would say that I’m hesitant on immersing it in water. I wouldn’t want water to get trapped inside and ultimately mold like one of those terrible bath toys. That being said I plug the hole with my finger while washing to keep out water.I find this to be a neat looking chew for baby. The plane is creative and it’s a fun one to add to the diaper bag. Plus it has such a clever name for an airplane teether, TopGum.

This plane is really cute and I love the puns on the box. The nose of the plane is really too big for my baby to put in his mouth, but the wings and fins fit perfectly and he can grip the wings pretty easily with his little hands. He’s teething early and has extremely limited motor skills. The unpainted rubber portions of the teether have a matte finish. It has a squeaker inside of it but it’s the least offensive sounding squeaker I’ve ever heard. It has a quiet tone that’s deeper than every squeaker I’ve heard before. The low tone squeaker is actually my favorite feature. There’s only one thing I don’t like about it. I’ve gotten multiple opinions from friends and family and we all agree that it looks and feels more like a doggy chew toy than a baby teether. Ultimately I’m happy as long as my baby is happy and he is. It’s a cute toy.I hope this info was useful.

My son is a big fan of vehicles and airplanes are among his favorite toys. Therefore, I selected this toy for him, but, unfortunately, he does not seem to be very interested in it. The head of this airplane features a shark, and the color is grey. I think it is made of safe materials and with good quality, but it is a bit overpriced. It can grow with you kid, as this is a good airplane to do pretend play when they grow up.
