If you want to change the Bands simply turn off radio hold the AM/FM button in turn on radio and use Channel selector buttons up or down to select your band. I use a extreme 2018 microphone with Echo and it works absolutely great with the radio. If you go into the menu of the radio and select the El for the microphone which is for electric it was sound so much better on the extreme 2018 microphone. Yes one more thing the radio does have a service menu. To access the service venue simply turn off the radio press and hold the two channel selector up and down buttons at the same time turn on radio. And now you have the secret menu selection of the radio. But be warned if you don't know what you're doing you can mess up your radio. Also I want to add to adjust the am carrier for low power you have to adjust the FM carrier on low power which will also adjust the am carrier as well. Update 8/12/23 Ihave had a few days to use the radio....The squelch works great and the radio receiver is clean not a lot of static....01/29/24 well I've had the radio now for about 6 months and no issues whatsoever. Everyone gives me good audio reports and again the receive is excellent.

I have 4 radios, the last one I bought works fine, others signal meter want read correct. Present radio display of orange after a few days faded out. ordered a replacement radio. One received didn't work or function as good as one I already had so sending replacement radio back for replacement to get display to work correct.Update--- stock mike works like a power mike in my truck a 2022 Frontier,Radio works great for me been using for months now ,Display screen went to working ok for me, can turn dead key up or down in service minue

First off, this is NOT a typical 10 meter HF radio (which is what I thought I was buying.) But that’s my own fault for not paying more attention and doing more research. This radio could be thought of more as a regular CB radio with lots of extra channels that extend both above and below the standard 40 channels legally allowed in most areas. This radio is locked into using “channelized” frequencies only and has no VFO function. Despite all of this, I’m still happy with the purchase. Things I Like: the price obviously, it has both AM and FM modes, it’s capable of talking on many channels outside of the regular FCC CB channels (including “alpha” channels), it has 3x the power of a typical cb radio. Things I don’t like: no SSB mode (no surprise at this price point). Most traffic outside of the regular 40 cb channels is using SSB. Poor speaker output. I have six mobile radios and this one has the worst audio of the bunch. The speaker sounds very thin and lo-fi. If you want to use this in a vehicle, definitely plan on getting an external speaker for it.
