Great little player! By far the best of the three I tried.
This little player has all the basics and more. Despite what some of the reviews might indicate, it has all of these features:1) Good battery life2) Good volume range (loud enough)3) Shuffle and repeat modes (these are a bit hidden); also playlist editing4) Small and lightweight but not too small (the screen could be higher resolution, but it's OK)5) Flawless BT connection6) Resume at precisely the same point in a song/file after shutdown7) File folders for different genres, etc.8) Preset equalizer settings (unfortunately, no separate bass/treble control)9) Expansion slot for memory card (I can't imagine I'll need more than the built-in 16 GB)10) Many more featuresThis is the third player I've tried in two weeks and the least expensive. The others didn't have features I wanted (shuffle, reliable and effortless BT, good volume, etc.) and were returned. One thing I particularly like (as mentioned in another review) is that it has actual physical buttons for all functions = no inadvertent changing of songs, modes, etc. just by sitting in one's pocket. The buttons include:- play/pause- last/next song- volume up/down(the previous two serve for navigation)- mode button- and last but not least, an on/off switchSoooo much more easier to use than the finicky touch-sensitive "buttons" on the other players I tried out.Bottom line: Look no further if you want an all-round, flexible, and easy to use MP3 player.

Exactly what I was looking for!
I was searching for simple MP3 player to use with when running. My criteria were: lightweight, good battery life, bluetooth support, and easy to load .mp3 files. This product did all of that. The battery life is amazing - after I charged it the first time, it was weeks of intermittent use before I needed to charge it again. Actually - it's easy to forget that I need to charge it... It's also easy to load .mp3 files - simply plug in to my computer (Windows 11) and drag over an album or folder and it loads up into the music directory. Now - The one thing that is a little clumsy is how it manages playlists. The built in feature is not really user-friendly, but I found a good method for controlling playlists. I simply create my playlist on my computer (I use MusicBee for organizing music) and once the playlist is created - I drag it over (copy/paste) into the folder structure of the music player and specifically - I place the playlist in the 'files' folder (not the music folder). It's helpful to think of the device as a USB drive with a music player app built in. When you place the playlist in the files directory of the music player - it will organize the files in order of your playlists (1, 2, 3, etc). Then - when you want to play the playlist on the MP3 player, you select the files folder on the interface and you'll see your playlist. This worked extremely well for me when on my runs and it was easy to arrange everything ahead of time. I really hope the playlist description helps somebody because I was searching for information on this and didn't find any resources that addressed this topic. Conclusion: love the product. It's simple, lightweight, and perfect for running and active sports. Highly recommend for this purpose.

Works well, with some qualifications
I listen to four hours of podcasts daily with a Bluetooth earphone, so it was no problem finding an audio player with that functionality, but it's far tougher to find a player that also has what I consider an essential feature, i.e. M3U playlist support. The product descriptions, customer reviews, and even the manufacturers' websites almost never mention whether a specific player has M3U support, so it's quite a challenge finding a player that will satisfy the needs of most informed podcast listeners' needs. For anyone wanting to know what M3U even is, it's a plain text file with the list of audio files you're listening to that serves as a playlist, keeping the files together and (more importantly) ensuring that the audio files play in the exact order that you prefer when creating the M3U file.M3U playlists are particularly important when listening (as I do) to podcasts consisting of multiple files, as most players will play the files in some arbitrary fashion that is actually manufacturer-specific.You create the M3U playlist file for each set of podcast files on your computer, then load the podcast files and the M3U files onto the audio player with the USB cable connected to your computer.I finally found in the reviews for this player that it has M3U support, so that was finally made my decision.Right away, I really like the Bluetooth functionality better than with any of the other half dozen audio p layers that I have had, namely because this player much more quickly detects the Bluetooth device (earbud) and because the Bluetooth stays on after having been plugged into the computer to add/delete audio files. It's also about the ideal size, fitting neatly into the palm of the hand, small but not so small that it's hard to use.The screen is also easy to read and understand, and the button positions and mechanical function are just right. One small quirk I found right away is that the M3U playlists aren't recognized at first after disconnecting from the computer for charging and files being added to the player.I finally discovered that the only way to get those playlists visible was to first play any audio file on the player, then go back to the menu and all of the playlists will then be visible.Related to that, I discovered that deleting any audio file being played via a playlist makes the other playlists not visible again, once again necessitating playing any other random audio file, then the playlists are once again visible.I can confirm that the M3U playlists work exactly as they should, but that sure looks like a bug, so I convey the solution to it here for others to use, especially useful because I can't even figure out who the manufacturer actually is, let alone find a website with possible firmware updates that might correct this minor bug.One other (less important) bug I discovered is that, even though the USB port on this player is USB-C, the player register in my computer as operating at the old full speed USB (USB 1.1?) transfer rates, and the observation of the transfer rate aside from that confirms that.It seems very odd that this player uses first-generation transfer rates with a fourth-generation port, but maybe the manufacturer made a mistake with their hardware or had some old hardware in stock to expend in newer devices. It's not really a deal breaker, but expect the file transfers with this player to be significantly slower compared to any current device with a USB-C port. Finally, one feature that I really like better with this over most other players that have clips is that this one's clip is not hinged, making it much more durable than the ones with spring-loaded clips. With all that said, this is still an excellent player for ease of use now that I understand the two quirks that it has, but those two quirks also are the reason for giving a four star review instead of a five star review.
