Powerful and quiet
The media could not be loaded. Quiet, as easy to assemble as you can experience, it was my first one but all came out good, when you stop the pump, it squirts water from the see through cap, self primed and it works, super quiet compared to my old one

Go with a different brand! Sadly, it’s not worth it.
I am so disappointed in this pump.It legitimately did not last THREE MONTHS!!I purchased it last year to upgrade the pump on a pool that we’ve had for years.Unfortunately when we went to open the pool, my bf used a pressure washer to clean the liner and ripped it. So we decided to wait and get a bigger pool this year.Obviously not trying to use the pump till this year, was a completely stupid mistake on my part, knowing I’d go way over the return time.We set up our new pool the end of May 2025.Even with a bigger pool, this pump worked great when we first started using it.We run it on the lower power mode (and keep the screwed on cover, over the switch to turn it up to the higher power mode, to ensure it never got messed with). We haven’t even ran it as hard as it should be able to go, and in less that THREE MONTHS the motor is blown.I did like the fact it had a basket in it to help catch debris.I NEVER let it get debris in it (I used an extra skimmer that hooks to the pool to prevent that basket from getting dirty, as much as possible).I done this because the lid to clean that basket was a disaster to try to put back on when cleaning it. The rubber ring inside the lid that prevents it from leaking - is almost impossible to keep in place while putting the lid back on. Much harder than ANY of the pumps we’ve had in the past (we’ve had pools my entire life growing up).The pump DID work great - for the very short time. I REALLY wish I had just paid a little extra and got a better pump.I’ve had several people tell me the Vevor brand products are great quality products. I’d much rather spend my money with a “smaller” less known company if they make good products, as opposed to huge companies.Sadly I haven’t had that luck.I’ve used this pump, and a boat cover from the brand (that ripped the first month we had it)I gave them a try but will NEVER buy Vevor again.

Good pump except for 2 things
I have in-ground pool, and the pump is about 35 feet away and 1 foot higher than the skimmer line. My power is 240V. This is my 4th pump overall, and it seems to be better than all previous ones I had before. I've been running it on a timer 16 hours a day for just over a month now. Now, the bad 2 things about this one:1. Like someone has already described in his review here, the electric connectors on a 2-speed switch are designed for a flexible smaller-gauge wires with a slide-on female disconnects that need to be purchased separately. While the pump manual calls for a 14-gauge wires, which are 1.6mm solid copper gauge that I have, the pump connectors are not designed for a solid copper 14 gauge that need to bolted on like the Ground wire on this pump. So I had to go to Home Depot and buy what is called "Disconnect F" gauge 16-14 Female Disconnects and crimp them to my solid copper wires for my 240V power. After that you hope that the crimps will stay on and won't get loose with all the vibration of a working pump over the years..2. On low speed- bubbles in the output jet, telling me the pump is "suffocating" as there's not enough water flow on the intake. I have a salt generator cell, so bubbles are not allowed because they can damage the cell. For those that don't have a salt water pool, that probably won't matter. I wish they made the Low speed a little more powerful, not 2.2 Amps but maybe 10-20% more. I can run it in winter time when the salt cell is off, but for hot summer days in Texas, it's a Max speed 16 hours a day.The good: on Max speed, it sucks like a champ, also consuming about half the Amps than my previous pump that couldn't suck as good as this one. Better than any other pumps I ever had. It primes quickly, while the in-ground pool's skimmer is about 1 foot from the pump's suction plane, and about 35 feet away. I can also vacuum the pool without suffocating the pump, no matter how long it takes, which all previous pumps of similar horsepower couldn't do. The price is also good- it's priced like a 1-speed pump, so if you can deal with the connector issue and don't care about low speed bubbles, that seems to be a good choice. As I've been running it for just over 1 month, I cannot tell if it's going to last yet. The times shuts it off at 1 PM when the sun start shining onto it, and as it's painted in black and already running pretty hot even without hot Texas summer sun, the timer shuts if off for 4 hours until it's in the shade and has cooled off. So, it's 8 hours on, 4 hours off. My previous pumps of similar quality lasted at least 5 years each, so I expect a similar longevity from this one. If it goes bad, I'll add to this review. If not, I'll probably buy another one just like this. Hopefully, by that time, they'll re-design the electrical connectors and make the Low speed a little more powerful. Also, I wish they painted it in light colors like silver or white as the southern sun makes it extremely hot, adding to already very hot-running motor.P.S. exactly 3 years later, it's dead. Humming, but not running. It worked 24/7 on high speed for about last 2 years pretty much non-stop. Overall, I think I've got my money worth out of it. Will be buying a new one, but with one speed this time.

Easy and fast to install
Old pump failed (overheats and shuts off). It took about 40 minutes to swap with this new one. I used the old electrical chores. The pump works GREAT! Highly recommend.

Affordable Solution and easy to install
My above ground pool needed a new pump and I have a small bit of electrical experience so I was worried. It was a cinch to install and saved me a ton of cash. I was super happy to find such an affordable solution.
