SRAMPC-1091 10 Speed Chain with PowerLock 114Links

I've been fan of SRAM chains since back in the day when they were Sachs chains. They're just extremely well-made. The top-of-the-line PC-1091 (or 1091R, if you want to shave a few grams) shifts very fast on 10-speed SRAM and Shimano cassettes and can stand up to even the most brutal road and cyclocross riding / racing conditions.Note that the master link is a single-use only item -- make sure to get some spares if you remove your chain more often than "when it's time to change it"!

Lifelong cyclist - cycling for 40yrs and many tens of thousands of miles. I've tried the $12 chains and the $120 chains. This is the one I keep coming back to for durability and shift quality.

I love this. I tend to bike quite a bit and i like having a chain that has little wear as helps with shifting and feels more effective with my pedling. And thus usually end up having to replace my chain every 1000 mi or so. So far this chain has 1200 mi on it and still isn't even worn out. I plan on getting these going forward. for the price it you cant go wrong.

Received this item promptly after it was ordered. A bike mechanic friend installed it for me. We needed to remove a few links to make it fit right, but it's been functioning fine since. I ride for pleasure and for commuting with some big hills on my commute route, and the chain has performed reliably.

Works perfect, little hard to close and open clip but at least it's secured.

The first picture is not the chain you will get. the other photos are. this is a good chain but not a hollow link it is a solid link chain.

There's nothing like a fresh chain to make your ride better. I only buy SRAM chains due to their Powerlink mechanism and they are generally well priced. This is on the pricier end for chains since it is so light, but I like to delude myself and pretend I need as light of a bike as possible when riding the local group rides with a bunch of overweight 40 year olds.

From now on, SRAM's PC 1091 series chains are the only SRAM 10-speed chains that I'll use. These last a long time, with good, no-hassle performance.

I have had many different chains on my bikes over the years, but these are without doubt the quietest I have had. They are also smoother shifting (even with all other components being Shimano) and seem to last a long time. All that suggests a much better quality chain to me. I am now on my third SRAM 1091 chain and will not experiment with other chains any more. I've switched over my 11 speed bike to use 1191s based on my experience of these and it too appears smoother and quieter than the more expensive chain I had on there before.Difficult to get excited about a bicycle chain, but these seem to be the best around.
