A lot of pieces
The packaging was nice for a gift. But actually sitting down and building this was extremely difficult.

challenging but worthwhile
We got this building set hoping it was as good as the old time erector sets of our childhood. It was! We built it with and eight year old and an adult. It is made for teens but with a lot of help he could work his way through it. It is nicely priced and would make an excellent gift for those teenagers who love to build.

Erector set meets fighter jet
I remember putting together all sorts of things with an erector set back in the day. Now, these little kits come along and allow you to build specialized items you couldn't build with the general sets of yesteryear. This would make a great gift for the aircraft/fighter fans in your life, and being able to put it together with metal construction makes it great for the tinkerers in your life as well. It's nice to break away from the plastic Lego-style sets from time to time and tighten a few screws. :)
