ViperDesperado 80% Tungsten Steel Tip Darts with Storage/Travel Case: Iron Cross

This set of Darts has a slightly wider barrel than my parana razor grips, but I love the feel of them in my hand. At first the groupings were a little bit of a larger spread then my previous set, but in league play I have been able to hit a Ton 80, and a 5 bull count, so I guess the issue of groupings isn't all that bad.The flights that come on the darts are very cheap and needed to be replaced out of the box, but most dart players are going to experiment with different shafts and flights to make the dart their own anyway.The case is perfect for a single set of darts, it looks great and easily fits into a cargo pocket in my jeans.All in all i am very happy with these darts.

For the money they are very nice, cant get better for the price.

The Viper Desperado Darts with the 80% Tungsten barrel is quite thin so that tight groupings can be made. This seems to be a very high quality dart set and they look great. These are the best darts I currently own, in my quest for the right darts for me.The barrel has a tightly banded area at the front which has a "soft" feel to it and then wide bands at the back. There is no knurling texture which might be an issue for some people. I like the feel of the bands and they seem to work well for me. The darts are center/overall weighted and throw consistently. They come with extra flights which are in a red Viper pattern. The case is very nice and works well. It has a good look to it and is a perfect dart storage. The set does not come with any other parts.The flights are small and stay connected well when throwing. This is a faster dart and I found it throws well for me.

I played darts a lot growing up as a kid, but never really got super serious about it. We had a few sets of darts we picked up from the local department store of whatever they decided to have in stock. They were all brass. If you are at a point where you want to get serious about darts, then it really makes sense to invest in tungsten alloyed darts like these. Since the metal is denser, you still get the same weight in a MUCH slimmer barrel. The higher the % of tungsten, the better the dart. I've found these have really helped me improve my accuracy and are weighted perfectly. Some may not like the pretty minimal knurl on this. For me, I like it in that I'm not messing around much with my grip positioning. It helps me keep consistent. The flights slide in easily and stay in place.The set also features a very durable metal case, with lots of space/pockets for extra flights, plus an extra set of flights with a large metal Viper emblem on top. The total cost of this set is a bit more than other sets out there, even those at 90% tungsten, but with this you really do get not only a great set of darts, but also a great case.

I'm by no means an avid dart thrower. I play enough to justify having a set of my own, but the weak link is me, not the darts. That being said, these really elevated my game. Perhaps better players wouldn't see much benefit or they already have something similar or better, but for me, these made a ton of difference.The biggest benefit for me came from the balance and heft. I'm 6'7" and 300lbs. I have big meaty hands, and I think smaller lighter darts are too much of a challenge for my lack of dexterity. The heft likely helps the most, but the slight front weight bias seems to help these stay on target.If you're a novice player lacking in dexterity, maybe these are for you. If you're beyond that point, perhaps other reviewers would be more relevant for you.

These are very nice darts and the case for them is pretty cool. They fly well and have a nice heft. I gotta say, though, I am not a darts connoisseur or anything so I don't think I fully get the benefits of these darts as opposed to other less expensive darts. I have this set and also the Viper Underground Celtic Blood steel tips and I don't really see the difference (apart from 50 dollars in the price.) This set has the cool carrying case and each dart weighs two grams more (though I swear when I hold them these darts seem lighter than the 22 gram darts.) But they both fly the same when I'm throwing them.

These seem a bit heavy to others but they work for me. Good grip and nice balance.
