Silli Me Animal World Zoo Play Mat with Roads and Train Tracks

This is an inexpensive piece of felt with a cartoonish design meant to be used with a wooden train set, not included. I own the Pottery Barn Kids Carolina Activity Table, which used to have an adorable train mat that is now discontinued. Looking online, this felt appeared to be a decent replacement, and it will definitely serve its purpose. The reason I give it only 4 stars is that 1) the dimensions stated online aren’t the exact dimensions of the cut of felt I received, so I had to trim the sides to make it fit, while the top to bottom was a little short 2) the pattern isn’t quite square with the design, 3) the felt was shipped folded, rather than rolled, so I ended up buying a piece of plexiglas to keep it flat for play, and 4) I ended up with a workable solution, but it took additional time, effort & money.

Love this for my two year old, he loves looking and identifying the animals scattered through the design. And I like that it’s part of a larger set that I can put together to expand.I will say that this is different from the car mats you see in the store. There is no rubber backing to grip on hard floors. It is FABRIC ONLY. For us this was fine as we put it on a carpeted floor, but if you plan to use it on a hardwood or tile floor could be quick dangerous if the child walks on it.Very happy with our purchase but might not work for everyone.

This is made out of fleece and so I don't know how long it is going to actually last. It is super cute though. My son will still have a blast with it. He loves animals and this is going to be a perfect mat for him to play his animals on. I just wish it was made of a more durable material.

Doesn't grip on the floor at all. I've had to tape it down so it actually stays in place.

Was not impressed I wanted a rug and instead got felt . For that amount it should have been a rug!

Read the product description carefully!!! We were looking for a car play mat/rug for our son's room. Didn't read description closely, THIS IS NOT A MAT! ITS A PIECE OF FELT! Can't even drive matchbox cars across it without taping it down, or it will slide all around. FORGET about using it on the floor, one step and it slipped out from under our year and a half old son's feet.
